3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DanielBrown (2583) - Birmingham (via Leicester), - OCT 3, 2006
Bottle at t’Kantientje, Poperinge. Light, sweet Stout. Quite fizzy and fluffy. A little cola-like. Not too much flavour and no aftertaste. Some toffee and sugar.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 ElDesmadre (378) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 1, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown with a bubbly and quickly dissipating head. Aroma is sweet caramel, liquorice, iron and skunk. Like a light-struck east European dunkel from a damaged vat. No coffee, dark chocolate or roastiness detected. Hmm... Taste is cloyingly sweet like caramel sugar syrup. Not much of a body but the consistency is sticky from all the sugary sweetness. Not much flavour as well, apart from some caramel and liquorice. The finish is an ordeal, with a combined sugar-and-sweetener assault on the throat that tries to pierce it, it’s that intense. Is that even a sweet stout? Incredibly bad.
1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 vickey9 (151) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 12, 2011
Hezy red-brown dark, creamy disappearing head. Liquorica and coca in nose. Midlle body, some carbon BUT! Too sweet, even more than too sweet, badly sweet. No pleasure to drink such a beer. B@H.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 kerolasa (353) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2011
Dark red color? Smells malty and sweet?? Is this really stout? Taste is sweet and caramel. I cannot find hop aromas, no sourness. No tar and smoke you would usually expect from stouts. In class stout this is pretty close to zero, but if I think this is supposed to be Bock rating is better. Even in that case not great success, besides what is that perry aroma?
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 Benjii (1681) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 29, 2011
33cl bottle from de Bier Tempel. Pours a very dark red - brown colour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. An odd flavour, quite sweet and vegetal. Reminds me of Coke with a definite cola character. Mild carbonation and moderate CO2 prickle.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Countbeer (1686) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2011
Bottle:
Light tan head on top of an almost black colored beer.
Smell toasted malts, nuts, caramel, grains, some darker fruits and herbs.
Taste is a sweet mix of nothing really. Light taste and slight hints of sweets, sugars, raisin, grains, bitter, nuts, caramel, very light hint of liquorice and chocolate.
Overall a mostly sweet taste with an unbalanced and nasty bitter touch.
Aftertaste of sweets, dark fruits grass and light bitter.
Low to medium carbo, tingling mouthfeel, more low than medium body and watery texture. Reminds me of an Oud Bruin.

26th May 2009 Dark brown but clear beer. Light and crispish palate, moderate carbonation. Very sweet malt with licorice, a sprinkle of herb and a splash of coca cola. dry minerally finish. Ok. Perhaps a bit too saccharin.
