Tap at Taphouse. Clear dark brown color with very huge brown head, that stands for a long time. It took about 15 minutes for the waiters to pour it. A great beer.Aroma roasted malts with nice and delicat coffee notes. Taste roasted malts, coffee, licorice, a very delicate and complex beer. I had a speedway stout later in the evening and this beer was so much better than the speedway stout.

On tap at Søernes Ølbar. Pours completely black with a big tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and sweet dried fruits. Taste is like the aroma but with notes of chocolate, yeast, bread and spices. Medium body and lots of carbonation. Sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad but I’d hoped for more from a Belgian style ale.

Powerful evening sipper this one. Lovely balanced coffee, espresso, chocolate and mild fruit flavor. One is enough for one evening. Tasty stuff.

Pours black with a very creamy brown head. Smell of roasted malts, belgian yeast esters, coffee, spices and clove. Moderate sweet, roasty, coffee, qute fruity, chocolate, spicy. Ends with a moderate bitter finis with earthy hops. Quite good stuff. The roast and the belgian yeast works well together
