3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TET (1130) - FINLAND - DEC 22, 2012
A very dark brown beer wtih a medium and beige head. Aroma of dark bread with nice citrusfruity freshness, sometimes hint of chocolate, a succesfull and interesting aroma. Taste of dark malts and some bread, citrusfruits, and aöso citrusfruity and ryebready sourness. Nicely smooth to drink, quite light to drink, but enjoyable even low alc. %. Tastefull beer with enough of interesting nuancees, not like many of other Browns.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 sheep (93) - FINLAND - DEC 20, 2012
330ml bottle, best before 27/04/13. Pours a deep dark brown with a tint of red and a decent khaki head. Aromas of caramel, vegetables, a little toast and hops. Taste is resinous hops mainly and not a lot else. Where’s all the malt gone? Mouthfeel is a little thin and slightly watery with medium carbonation. Needs a lot more balance and a thicker body.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko/heavy (thanks!). Comes as Betty Brown Norwegian Brown Ale. Nice amber/brown coloured, small off-white head, bready caramel nose. Mild roasted malt, caramel and light bready taste with hint of chocolate. Not bad at all.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 mzaar (932) - Varberg, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2012
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Pyrmir (1453) - Westra Aros, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle at ÖÖWF 2012. Aroma: lot of caramel, some notes of sweat. Tastes a bit raw, sweet and burnt sugars. A bit bland.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Marko (3635) - Split, CROATIA - NOV 17, 2012
Another one from abemorsten (huge thanks!). Poured a brown-amber body, clear, with a tiny off white head. Light malty nose, slightly caramelly, very light roastiness. The taste is more roasty, malty and vaguely creamy, somewhat grainy. Ok, a solid brown ale.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 heavy (1989) - Split, CROATIA - NOV 15, 2012
0.33 l bottle from abemorsten, thanks! It poured clear deep brown body with small brownish head. Simple sweet caramel aroma. Flavor was moderately sweet dark malty with slight bitter roasted note. Medium body. Some chocolate shows in the finish besides caramel, but it’s mostly quite simple, although pleasant brew.
