(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown colour with a beige and short foamy head. Discreetly dark malty and grainy aroma with mildly spicy hoppy notes and a tinge of marzipan. Slightly bitter flavour, quite light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly dark malty start with drying herbal spicy hops and hints of caramel; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with a touch of resin. Quite one-dimensional. 21.II.16

Bottled, 330ml from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham, Gloucs. Dark brown with cream head. The beer is sweet from the start, there is a malty biscuit character with sweet caramel and just a hint of coffee. Glutinous on the palate. Not really over keen on this one.
