COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A new beer in Lervig Aktiebryggeri’s range "Brewer’s Reserve", the creation of Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. Hops: East Kent Goldings. Recommended serving temperature 10-12 degrees C.

Bottle at Amundsen. Glowing red amber. Bittersweet, low carbonation. Nuts and prunes. Not too sweet, a fine dryness here makes a fine balance.

Brown colour. Nutty sweet caramel. Light bitterness. Soft carbonation level. Well rounded. Lacks a little complexity, but this is a well made beer. Acethaldehyde as it warms up.

Bottle, enjoyed @Amundsen, Oslo. Tall and dense light cream colored head. Body is shady dark golden brown with an orangey hue. Initial aroma of candied apples. Then a whiff of lightly roasted nuts and caramel. Subtle bourbon notes. Body is medium full, with a soft prickling carbonation. Medium malt body. Sweetish and toasted with peppery caramel notes. Alcohol well hidden. Balancing bitterness. Not outstanding, but a straightforward and solid BW.

Bottle. Dark amber with an off-white head. Alcohol and raisins with a hint of caramel. Some herbal bitterness and a bit sour, maybe there was something wrong with the bottle - not much sweetness, it was more sour.

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, copper colored beer with a small, beige head. Alcohol, dried fruits, caramel and some hoppyness on the nose. Lightly bourbon-ish. The flavor has a nice bitterness towards the warming and sweet finish. In the beginning there’s caramel maltyness, dried fruits, alcohol and some bourbon. Full-bodied, almost sticky, yet smooth, and quite warming. Overall, too warming, but a decent beer anyway. 110527

14.10.2011. 0,33l Bottle at Amundsen bryghus, Oslo. Dark golden brown colour with off-white head. Aroma is totaly dominated by Bourbun Whisky flavours. What a surprise!! This tastes like a fifty-fifty mix with whisky at first, and its very good. Very difficult to get other flavours at the beginning, but as you get through the glass the beer comes foreward and gives me malty aromas, sweetness and strong a alcoholbody. This is a very good beer!

330 ml bottle @ Melkebaren, Sandnes. Almost clear, deep, reddish body with a small, dense tan head. Fantastic aroma of dark malt, Bourbon, oak, caramel, vanilla and alcohol. Sweet malty flavor with Bourbon, oak, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Quite sweet and bitter, but have a really nice balance against the alcohol and feels fantastic. Full body and long aftertaste.
