3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Norra Vallgatan
best before 100114 hence a bit old
Hazy deep blond color with small head. Mild aroma, there is some hop, some earthy manure, very light rubber. Dry and lean mouthfeel; the earthy character is dominating, there is no better malt; quite strong bitterness although it doesn’t feel like 100 IBUs, the hops are partly resiny, not much fruity, a bit dusty.

Aroma of citrus, orange, tropical fruits, pine, malt, hint of caramel, strong hop. Flavour is moderate sweet with a potent bitter finish. Very dry, very bitter Galaxy single hop IPA. So many good breweries in Norway these days!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Poured clear copper color with a medium frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a tingly slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy citrus bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met by this solid beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Semi-clear orange beer, soapy white head. Fruity, slightly sweet nose with malt and peaches. Flavor is citrussy bitterness, mild malt and caramel, long grapefruity and hop-oily finish with stern bitterness. Hop oil builds up in the mouth. A bit harsh. Thanks to martjoobolut for sharing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2015 33cl bottle@home in tulip glass. Approx 10 degrees C. Pours hazy amber with nice white head. Aroma of citrus and hop as expected. And yes, the promised bitterness is certainly there. Grapfruit - the bitter white bits - being the dominant taste. Did Lervig go overboard with the Galaxy from Down Under? Yes they did! So this is for hop freaks! Not really well balanced though there is a good maltiness. For those who are searching for a bitter hop kick however...there should be no holding back!
