Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

The aroma of dark malt. Heavy flavor of dark malt with a little laktris and raisins. Maybe some alcohol even in taste. The aftertaste was too mellow and remains there for a while. But atleast I get no enjoyment of this beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Pours a rich burnt umber almost black color with three fingers of thick khaki foam. The nose is rich with roast, rustic grain, soft chocolate, hints of coffee and a trace of dark fruit. The palate follows nicely with rich round chocolate notes that mingle with dark roasty flavors and some traces of licorice and dark fruit. Nice full mouthfeel.

Masse sjokolade i ettersmaken, nydelig. Flott brygg.

Pours dark dark brown with low brown head Aromas of chocolate, molasses, oats, coffee, alcohol, dark fruits, hints of caramel Very nice taste of caramel, ashes, muscavado sugar, coffee powder. Its a bit sticky and bitter in the ending making it bit unbalanced. Overall very nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hieno IS, hyvin täyteläinen ja lakritsinen tapaus. Suosittelen.

Bottle @ Croydonia. The pour’s brown with a small head. The nose is roasted grain, not much else. Fairly anonymous nose. The taste is toasted brown bread, chocolate, toffee. Smooth, supple, if a bit 2-dimensional. Full body, soft carbonation. Fine, but Lervig are capable of so much more.

Bottle to snifter (shared with jmborggren, Dogbones, Carl, and the Mrs.). Looks good; a fairly opaque dark cola with beige lacing. Smells solid; dark malt and chocolate with a touch of roast. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Good, not great.

Shorter and more short lived head than the average stout. More sugar too, but also more aroma from chocolate and oat. Well hopped.

Bottle picked up at Party Source. Pours black in color with a medium sized khaki head that collapsed to a thin film. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee notes, mild oatmeal and lacto notes, with some fruit character. I thought the abv remained well hidden. Full bodied, smooth texture, fairly viscous pour.
