3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle. Pours pitch black with tab head - recedes very quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, dark fruits, coffee, deep roasted malt, liquorice. Taste is geared towards the deep roasted malt notes, luxurious dark chocolate, slight smokey flavours, some fig/prune notes, bit of coffee too; mouthfeel is full, silky, and smooth - the oatmeal playing its part evidently. Tasty hop bitterness to finish. A great Imperial Stout - thoroughly enjoyed it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brända malt-toner, mörk choklad, starkt kaffe och en del lakrits. En bra och prisvärd stout som nog blir bra med några år på vinden.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottle). Lovely aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, sweet coffee, licorice, some smoke and fresh hops. In the taste is the element of oats evident, something that makes the flavor wonderfully soft. Other prominent flavors in the flavor is chocolate and licorice. In the aftertaste there is a soft, dry bitterness. The alcohol is noticeable only as a warming element. A fabulous beers with a more than great price, similar beers normally costs at least twice as much as this. A bargain! And a tasty beer!

Pitch black body, chocolate brown head.
Aroma of hops, malt, chocolate.
Mouth of roasted malt, chocolate.
10.4 ABV, but I don’t feel the taste of alcohol. Well balanced in my opinion.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle courtesy of RoNo. Pours very dark reddish brown, almost black, with a small frothy dark mocha head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet and slightly spicy with roasted malts, dry soil, rubber, coffee, black pepper, dark bread, lemon grass, old cocoa powder, dry spicy yeast, barnyard and hints of ammonium chloride. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, very tiny sour and very malty with heavily roasted malts, pumpernickel, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, salty liquorice, soy sauce, brown sugar, burnt wood, asphalt, prunes, rubber and very subtle hints of smoked chilis. Mouthfeel is smooth, slightly round, tiny tart, tiny astringent and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, burnt wood, roasted oatmeal flakes and hints of salty liquorice and soy sauce. Not sure the roasted farmhouse smell, even being quite nice, suited the beer but taste is quite tasty if a tad bit too salty.
