COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

33 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori, Tampere.
Pours dark red color with a thick, lasting off-white head. Aroma of some dark milky chocolate, lots of coffee, dark chocolate malts, tar, very faint vanilla notes, caramel notes and plums. Flavor of dry chocolate, some coffee, roasted malts, hints of caramel, vanilla and tar. Quite thick and rich palate, dry chocolaty finish. Very nice dessert stout.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2013 33 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori
Aroma is rather strong on coffee – I can smell it from 50 cm when pouring. Also some dark chocolate, cocoa, oat and vegetables. Flavour has coffee, dark chocolate, soy sauce, toffee and salty licorice. Some characteristics from export stouts. Too salty. 8+5+7+4+15=3.9

Draught @ Hilpeä Hauki
Aroma has cocoa, licorice and some coffee notes. Very smooth palate. Flavour has salty licorice, some herbal tones, dark chocolate and some coffee. Finishes rich and oaty. Too salty but perhaps a bit better than bottle. 8+5+8+4+15=4.0

Bottle at konttori, tampere. Deep black color, small brown head. Quite ligjt taste of coffee and roasted malts, little alcohol. But taste is full bodied, licorice, smooth, coffee and some hops at the end. Smooth but strong stout.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Pikkulintu, 20130106) The beer poured black. Its head was small and brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied and dry bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, sweetness, hops and bitternes. Aftertaste was roasty, hoppy and bitter. A good balanced imperial stout. I couldn’t find the usual sourness produced by oatmeal but it quite likely had softened the palate.

[4953-20121116] 330mL bottle. Roasty raisin nut notes in the aroma. Black body with a quick foamy light brown head. Dry woody roast malt flavour. Full body but feels clean, not cloying. Lovely, different. (7/4/7/3/15) 3.6

Black is black, no head, just raft of espresso foam and lacing. Sweet dark chocolate coffee, nice warm aroma has also licorice, lots of chocolate, lots. Really sweet, thick and sticky, roasted, full body, low carbobation, warming alcohol, raisins. If you like your sacher and coffee simultaneously ... this is your beer.
