En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

This doesn’t hide the alcohol quite as well as the best Imperial Stouts. It’s still a very smooth, easy drinking dark beer. The aroma throws up lots of raisins and nougat as well as some apple and cigar smoke. There’s a lot of alcohol in the mouth.

The beer smells sweet of caramel and chocolate. The color is black with a beige head. The taste is awesome! Creamy sweet with notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee. It leaves the mouth with a dry finish, which fits the beer nice.

330 mL bottle from the Wine Monopoly, at home. Wow! Thick and beautiful colour, with a taste that matches. Lots of milk/lactose as well as some soy sauce and dark chocolate, and of course, alcohol. Very very thick and the flavours really came out as it warmed up over the course of an hour.

Dark black body, creamy brown head, some lacing. Sharp aroma. Lactose, cocoa, roasty malts, almost a tingly sensation on the nostril, wet grains in dank barn. Taste is roasty, a touch of dried fruit, coffee, and an almost burnt maltiness. Smooth palate. Abv well masked. Not bad.

Shared bottle. Poured a deep Black colour with animale beige head. Roasted malts, caramel, toffee, oat, cacao sweetness, raisins, some dark fruits in the back, herbs, soy sauce, licorice, dark deep espresso, pretty enjoyable beer. Would love to see this barrel aged

Pours pitch black with a small head. Nose shows roasted malt, bready malt, cocoa and liquorice. Flavours include roasted malt and chocolate with a balancing sweetness. Quite a dry roasty finish though.
