En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Me recuerda mucho a un barley wine. El aroma es dulzón y café. Tiene mucho cuerpo, es densa, y aunque no tiene un sabor intenso deja un regusto largo. Pero dice poco.

Tap at Watering Hole. Cola, some bitterness but quite sweet. Little bit of fruit. Mainly cola. Can’t feel the booze. Nice enough. Some caramel and vanilla later on.

Dark brown body. Light Brown head. Aroma has ash, chocolate, soy and alcohol, liquorice. Bit thinnish somehow. But complex. Flavour has quite rich alcohol and sweetness.

Pours matte black with a low mocha head. Aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, muscovado sugar, dark red fruit. Taste is quite roasted and somewhat sweet with slight fruity notes and moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is dry and medium bodied with medium carbonation.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of toasted malt. Opaque black color, 1" brown head that stays, wide bands of lace. Taste is roasted malt that adds light carbonation on the swallow, moving directly to dark chocolate, but then returning to bitter roasted malt in a long, satisfying finish. Really well-balanced, complex, brutal, but still so easy and light to drink. This may be 10% abv, but it hides it very well. I will buy this again, maybe even seek it out. A top end Imperial Stout.

Bottle@home. Aged since 2012. This is indeed a very smooth easy do quench for being a 10% RIS. Aging has contributed a vinous raisin and sweet dark fruits character with some disturbing cardboard on the nose. Also Notes of coffee, delicate milk chocolate milk, licorice, caramel, coffee. Finish is sweet and smooth with honey, biscuits and sweet red fruits coming through along with licorice. Nice.
