En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of toasted malt. Opaque black color, 1" brown head that stays, wide bands of lace. Taste is roasted malt that adds light carbonation on the swallow, moving directly to dark chocolate, but then returning to bitter roasted malt in a long, satisfying finish. Really well-balanced, complex, brutal, but still so easy and light to drink. This may be 10% abv, but it hides it very well. I will buy this again, maybe even seek it out. A top end Imperial Stout.

Bottle@home. Aged since 2012. This is indeed a very smooth easy do quench for being a 10% RIS. Aging has contributed a vinous raisin and sweet dark fruits character with some disturbing cardboard on the nose. Also Notes of coffee, delicate milk chocolate milk, licorice, caramel, coffee. Finish is sweet and smooth with honey, biscuits and sweet red fruits coming through along with licorice. Nice.
