COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Originallyon draft at Mikkeller Bar in SFO & this review is on the bottle bought in San Diego at Holiday Liquors & poured into a snifter a very dark dark brown with a thick beige head. Aroma of dark caramel fruits & booze. Flavor is deeply delicious for a RIS brewed with Oatmeal. A smoothness emerges with the flavor of chocolate malts & sweet toffee. Slight bitterness tell me high quality hops was used. Overall a way above the better stouts.

Pours black, with a brown head. Intense aroma: Dark fruit layers of plum and raisin, chocolate perhaps notes of licorice.Overall, balanced and very enjoyable. Tons of dark fruit layers, mainly dried plum and raisin, intermingled with bakers chocolate, with hints of coffee/mocha and vanilla bean. Medium-plus bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel. Mild, balanced bitterness and subtle sweetness. Pleasant finish, without being cloying or overpowering. Lingering dark fruit and chocolate nuances... possibly chocolate covered raisins? Nice, mellow booziness. A solid stout. Medium bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel. Mild, balanced bitterness and subtle sweetness. Pleasant finish and not too strong.. A solid stout. Very nice!

Very great RIS, combining a massive body and an elegant velvety texture. The yeasty notes and the liquor reminiscences give to this beer an impressive personality, and enrich the usual coffeish flavors. A beer to enjoy in silence by the fireplace. The best brew by Mike Murphy.

330ml bottle, poured into snifter. Appearance is brownish black with a small creamy mocha head. that reduced swiftly. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, raisins and a hint of charcuteries. Taste is medium bitter with a light sweetness. Full bodied mouthfeel, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall a delicious Imperial Stout.

Bottle secured by Nick... Thanks! Enjoyed by the fire on a snowy evening. Pours jet black, no head. Aroma is kind of muted... Bakers chocolate and roast. Taste is very toasty, day old coffee, bitter chocolate. Not too sticky and can’t detect alcohol hotness. Good stout.
