BBE 290616 - Pours pitch black with a tiny white head. Aroma of roasted malts, sweet caramely notes, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet and roasty with notes of chocolate, coffee, hints of bitterness and salty licorice. Finish is warming, dry and roasty with hints of licorice and ripe fruits. Quite well balanced imperial stout.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2013 Creamy brown foam. Nice aroma of roasted malt and chocolate, dark . Nice flavour with rich chocolate flavours and hints of coffee. Nice balanced sweetness. Dry and long finish with some bitterness. A really nice beer from lervig.

Thanks to the ever generous Rune for this one - cheers mate! Opaque black beer, good size fluffy tan head. Smooth palate with modest fine carbonation. Fresh minerals and unsweet dark chocolate. Clean dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Trace of coffee. Finishes crisp with more minerals. Nice crisp RIS.

Svart öl med ganska stort brun färgat skum. Doft: Skotte ((godiset) dvs choklad, nogat, russin), mogen apelsin, kaffe, lakrits, alkohol. Smak: Mjölk choklad, kaffe, rostat trä, mineraler, körsbär, kakao.

Black body and a brown head. Aroma got coffee, smoke, bacon and little metalic. Flavor got dark chocolatte, coffee and is litle spicey. Palate is quite dry, bitter, little salty and medium body.

Flaske fra polet: skjønner ikke hvorfor jeg ikke har ratet denne før, den fortjener virkelig stor oppmerksomhet. Kremet, sjokoladebrunt skum. Et storartet brygg med deilig aroma av kaffe og røstet malt, rik smak med mørk dominans og litt nødvendig sødme som minner om 70% sjokolade (lett bitter). Tørr avslutning og god, kaffeaktig ettersmak. Enkel, men stilig etikett!

Tap at Ølbaren. Jet black with a lacing frothy, huge beige head and an extremely nice retention. Rich chocolately nose with heavy roast and a delicious dark fruitiness. Very sold body, and a body that ’s heavy, fat, rich and very sexy. Heavy burned roasted flavor balanced by a truckload of sweet dark fruitiness. Very solid - very flavorful. Almost a meal in itself.
