COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

At BBF. Black colour with little brown head. Roasted malts, coffe and alcoholish aroma. Taste is the same, not too alcoholish. Excellent beer.

Bottle, 330 ml. I'll be damned. This Russian imperial stout is impressive. Heavy, but friendly. Hints of alcohol are present after sipping it, but they are not intrusive. Most definitely going to buy again. Luckily I've still got a few bottles in the beer cellar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

murky brown, hazy cream top, not even a ring. Nose is sugary plum and cardboard, oxidation rampant. Flavor is stinging sugars, heavy chocolate across the front and clinging mid, lightly dry finish, chalky end. Dead beer.

BBE 290616 - Pours pitch black with a tiny white head. Aroma of roasted malts, sweet caramely notes, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet and roasty with notes of chocolate, coffee, hints of bitterness and salty licorice. Finish is warming, dry and roasty with hints of licorice and ripe fruits. Quite well balanced imperial stout.

Thanks to the ever generous Rune for this one - cheers mate! Opaque black beer, good size fluffy tan head. Smooth palate with modest fine carbonation. Fresh minerals and unsweet dark chocolate. Clean dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Trace of coffee. Finishes crisp with more minerals. Nice crisp RIS.
