En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Tap. Pitch black body with an average, lacing and tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, primary chocolate, a hint of resin and coffee notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with a little bitterness and with alcohol notes, Mdium to full bodied, oily texture and flat to soft carbonation. A very nice impy..

330 ml bottle @ "Cafe Sara",Oslo. July 10, 2014 Beer from a tulip glass. Almost black in color.Small beige head and low carbonation. Looks like asphalt at first sight. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and some dark fruit and soy sauce. Tastes roasted malt,a bit sweet, coffee and a bit wood. Less sweet than expected from aroma. A fantastic Imperial Stout in my opinion. Have had this beer both in bars and at home many times, and will continue in the future as well. The 10% alcohol is quite hidden.

Første øl fra Lervig og jeg må sige at jeg er glædeligt overrasket. Lækker chokolade aroma og lige så fantastisk smag. Dybt ristet, modne tørrede frugter og en anelse røg(?). Godt gået!

Bottle 033 L @ home. Pours very dark black with nice creamy brown head. Aroma is strong chocolate, a bit coffee, dry fruit, resin and molases with notes of black tobacco and some spicy hops. Taste is sweet rich of chocolate, molases, burnt grains, prunes, black current with long bitter and moderately dry finish. Full body, light to moderate carbonation and pleasent oily mouthfeel. Well done! Perhaps one of the best RIS I’ve tried so far.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Opaque black pour. Minimal head. Very dark burnt chocolate. Coffee grounds. Less pronounced notes of liquorice, molasses, cola and cigarettes. Oh yeah, its also surprisingly juicy! Palate feels thin at first but broadens as it warms. The oatmeal appears to be muting many of the harsher notes (as well as hiding the alcohol) while still allowing for a few dancing spice notes in a lingering finish.
