From the bottle. Dark dark brown with beige foam the disappeared quickly. Malts, coffee, chocolate. Smooth and bitter. Felt it was too thin.

Wow this is exemplary. The addition of oatmeal is exactly perfect for this recipe- rounding out the traditional harsh edges of the style. I can barely find a fault with this beer. I have a chronic sinus problem so I cant sniff so well, which is why my lower score there. What a beer. Dangerous. Yummmm.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Nose is alcohol, licorice, vanilla, dark fruits, cherry, hint of cola. Taste heavy licorice, plums, booze, slight alcohol character, some dark fruits, hints of chocolate, and a lot of cherry and latte in the finish. The mouthfeel is too thin for the style.
It’s a nice, by the numbers imperial stout, with more than a little imperial porter to it.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with some sediment and a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are roasted malt, cocoa, liquorice, and chocolate - with a roasted finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 33cl. Pitch black with a creamy brown head. Aroma with hints of chocolate, coffee and some yeast. Very intense taste, rich and full bodied. Well balanced with the hops, not too much, which makes it approaching for a bigger group. Long finish.

0,33l bottle at home. BB 02/2019. black color, small dark coffee-colored head. smells malty roasted, licorice, earthy, some alcohol, cocoa, chocolate. very nice subtle creamy smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes licorice, alcohol, cocoa, earthy, some sweetness, quite creamy, finishes with earthy and licorice notes. good stuff, more like an Imperial Sweet Stout, not much roast notes to it. Good stuff but definitly had better Imp Stouts before.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong, sweet caramal, alcoholic and chocolatly malty aroma. Nice dark brown head, but its gone in a second... Nice bitter chocolate malts, licorice, anise, wood,... Strong, heavy but it lacks of some nice carb. Could have made the finish much better. It’s full and very great flavoured, but a bit flat so its a bit boring.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
0,33, kjøpt på Vinmonopolet for ca. 55 kroner. Tykk, mørkfarget øl. Middels skum.

11.2oz bottle. Deep viscous black, with a nasty two gloops of coagulated loogie nastiness at the end of the pour. Not much on the hop front, all roasty chocolate bitterness. Very true to style in a classical way. Coffee, roast black chocolate. OK.

Black with tan head that quickly recedes. Lovely, well balanced imperial stout. Classic flavours of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. Nothing innovative, but done incredibly well. Really drinkable. Great.
