33cl bottle thanks very much to Rune, what a great RB guy helping me to my 10k beers. Black as black can be in the body. Thick tan head. Some intense black choc and espresso coffee on the aroma. Touch of toffee and caramel on the aroma too. In fact those things then go into the flavour too some dark choc touch of coffee but really definitely some caramel/toffee too. Some grainyness on the swallow. No heat from the alcohol. But it is a touch sweet maybe. Touch of liquorice on the grainy finish. Touch of subtle ginger on the finish. Competent if a touch grainy on the finish and it does have a caramel edge.

Pours completely black with a medium, creamy, beige head. Good lacing. Aroma has chocolate, roasted malts, mild viniousness. Medium carbonation, lovley creamy and fat mouthfeel. Deliciously elegant flavours, lots of liqourice, chocolate. Light fruity astringency. Lovely dry finish. Light, but full. Mild vinoius in the finish but really no more sign of the alcohol than that. Seriously yummy.

Fresh minerals and unsweet dark chocolate. Clean dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Trace of coffee. Finishes crisp with more minerals. Nice crisp RIS.
