COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Choclate, rosted barley in aroma. Some coffee, chocolate, liquorice, rosted malt (and little of the acidity it can bring). Also some hop bitterness that stays a while. Really nice mouth feel!

Lost & found tastenotes: Aroma of dark chocolates with roasted malt and licorice. Taste is the same as the aroma, but with a touch of soy and a lovely mild roasted coat. Really good stout.

Bottle. Black with a medium body. Strong presence of alcohol. Some liquorice and quite malty. A beer with lots of presence as you would expect for its strength but amazingly not overpowering. Left lots of lacing.

A black beer, a head is very small and light brown. Aroma has bready maltyness, liquirice, sweetness and only low roastiness, hint of hop oil. Taste is rich, coffee, some bread, roasted end. Alcohol isn’t taste but still it’s there. Almost full bodied, low carbonation. This IS isn’t inspirating, too bready.

Bottle. Black oily pour, brown head. Fantastic aroma of coffee, roasted malt and salmiak. Taste of salty licorice, coffee, creamy milk and roasted malt. Velvet mouthfeel. This is great.

Coffee on the nose. Hint of caramel as well. Taste is quite bittersweet, lots of coffee and some caramel in taste also. Bitter chocolate and some fruityness. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy.

Ruikt zoet, chocolade, rozijnen. Dikke schuimkraag. Zwarte kleur. Smaakt zoet, licht bitter. Ik heb dit bier al een half jaar in de kast staan en proef het nu pas. Dom van mij want dit is een topper !

Bottle from Stockmann in Tallinn (a lovely € 2.99!). Pours a mahogany black with a very persistent but not huge dark beige head leaving some lacing. The aroma is intoxicating: strong vinous notes(plum liqueur?) mix with sweet chocolate and cocoa, and roastiness beneath. Some grassy hops seem to be lurking there too. Very mild black bread sourness. Smooth texture with thin, mellow carbonation going hand in hand with the nice finishing bitterness and the slight alcoholic warmth. It is warming, but the alcohol is well integrated in the whole. Tastes chocolaty and plummy, some rhum and/or sherry, liqorice. Syrupy but not really sticky. Very-very nice! I like it much more than the Cherry Port BA version - but I’m no big fan of overly winey stouts.

330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours pitch black with a promising rich & complex aroma. Taste is thick, viscous, roasty, plummy and smooth. A sumptuous Imperial Stout.
