COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

A distinctive oatmeal imperial stout, the oatmeal sweetness is a nice touch, also I appreciate the smoothness of this brew, and the high alcohol content is masked well. Pours a dark black within a proportionate brown head, aroma of chocolate and coffee bean. Standard roasted malt accents, I don't really taste any hoppiness, primarily a subtly sweet chocolate malt flavor. Medium bodied and finishes relatively clean. Certainly enjoyable overall. My first Norwegian brew.

Bottle at bar. Poured a dark brown with an impressively dark worthy head. Notes of dark chocolate, espresso and sweet oats. Happy to see the taste followed up with a full and slightly sweet but mostly roasted comfortable impression. Wonderful.

Drinking from a 33 cl bottle. A nice espresso aroma. The unclear black beer has a medium brown head. A sweet taste from the alcohol, chocolate, caramel, coffee. Medium carbonated.

God aroma. Deilig søtlig smak. Tydelig røyk, men ikke for dominerende. Litt besk ettersmak, men ikke for mye. En satans god stout! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Three years old. Has a black colour with a medium, light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, soy sauce and licorice. More salt licorice in the flavour along with ash and roasted malt. Slick mouth feel, and has a medium bitterness. A well roasted IS with a solid bitterness after three years of aging.

Coffee, a bit sweet but you notice the alcohol ( 10,4). Creamy and smooth. Gorgeous. Hope to find it soon again
