En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Bottle 33cl. Pours black with minimal head. This one is easy to enjoy. Dark chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, some licorice notes....It reminds me of christmasbread with raisins. (Vörtbröd in swedish). It´s hard to "feel" the 10,4% alc. I wish i had another bottle of this!!

Helt svart med lavt skum. Overaskende anonym duft som er preget av kaffe og noe chilli og røsted malt. Smaken også dominert av kaffe med noen jordlige toner. Tykk munnfølelse.

33cl 15/06/19 Weird aroma of port wine, burnt wood, ash, chilli and a fancy barrel. Pours pitch black with soft creamy head that stays for duration of severl minutes. Heavy malts, heavy hopps, ash and dry charcoal hit you with a roundhouse kick in the face. Super smooth, creamy yet tangy, Bites your tongue a bit. slick and overall amazing feel to this IS. I never expected it it be so complex. My wife got it to me as a random shelf beer from supermarket - this justs adds to a surprise factor. Superb brew! totally worth a try, and it will age well!

Tap. Pours all black with nice half finger tan mocha head. Aroma is hard roast, malts, coffee, fresh coffee, dark bitter chocolate, burn caramel and sweet fruity figs. Taste is more upfront sweet ,milk chocolate, dark bitter chocolate, coffee. Then turns more roasty and malty, dry, raisins, sweet and sticky oaty feel though and some carbonation. Bitter roasty finish dominated by bitter coffee. Slight alcohol.

Lovely nougat color and compact foam on pitch black stout from the Norwegian. I find a flavor that perhaps is a little sparse probably due to its dense foam, but already during pouring I smell discretion coffee and good licorice. The flavor is wonderfully delicious of English licorice and only after some time take over the coffee and complements the licorice subtly. Light sweet malt tones emerge in the finals with a little hop bitterness. Smoked malten lacking in taste, in my opinion. It has only a small anonymous wisp of smoke in the taste, that otherwise promised well in the beginning.

Lost & found tastenotes: Aroma of dark chocolates with roasted malt and licorice. Taste is the same as the aroma, but with a touch of soy and a lovely mild roasted coat. Really good stout.

Bottle. Black with a medium body. Strong presence of alcohol. Some liquorice and quite malty. A beer with lots of presence as you would expect for its strength but amazingly not overpowering. Left lots of lacing.

A black beer, a head is very small and light brown. Aroma has bready maltyness, liquirice, sweetness and only low roastiness, hint of hop oil. Taste is rich, coffee, some bread, roasted end. Alcohol isn’t taste but still it’s there. Almost full bodied, low carbonation. This IS isn’t inspirating, too bready.

Bottle. Black oily pour, brown head. Fantastic aroma of coffee, roasted malt and salmiak. Taste of salty licorice, coffee, creamy milk and roasted malt. Velvet mouthfeel. This is great.
