330ml Bottle - Black with a foamy tan head. Chocolate, coffee and roasted malt in the aroma. Rich and roasted taste with notes of plain chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a hint of liquorice. Easy to drink.

No foam. Nice look. Much more complex taste than it smells. Around 10%. Taste stays longer than expected.

Pours thickly a brownish head with warm chocolate aromas. Oil like body appearance. Nice chocolate taste and thickness and decent length. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at The Draft House, London Bridge, London. Black with tan head. Crikey this was a heavy beer on the palate, big full on roastiness, alcohol sweetness, coffee roast and ground and with a delicate grainy note over the top. A little too much for me but nevertheless a blindingly good beer.

Keg at Draft House, 10.4%. Black, small ring of tan head, light lacing. Aroma is strong molasses, burnt wood. Body is medium, smooth, low-ish carbonation. Taste is lots of liquorice up front, syrupy, hop character suggests lime and petals, burnt roast, touch of bovril, some alcohol. Nice, but too liquorice heavy for me.

A distinctive oatmeal imperial stout, the oatmeal sweetness is a nice touch, also I appreciate the smoothness of this brew, and the high alcohol content is masked well. Pours a dark black within a proportionate brown head, aroma of chocolate and coffee bean. Standard roasted malt accents, I don't really taste any hoppiness, primarily a subtly sweet chocolate malt flavor. Medium bodied and finishes relatively clean. Certainly enjoyable overall. My first Norwegian brew.
