COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Konrad’s Stout is a new beer in the Brewer’s Reserve range, from Lervig’s head brewer Mike Murphy. A Russian Imperial Stout brewed with oatmeal.

Draught at Bishops Arms (Gustav), Malmö. Deepest black with a soft brown head leaving thin lacing. Lovely scents of dark roasted malt with a hint of coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth and somewhat light with a balanced dryness. Very lightly bitter aftertaste.

Dark brown beer with small but long lasting tanned head. Aromas of roasted malts and dark bread. The finish is rather short. I had this on tap at a bar so it was a bit too cold for an IS. I’d like to review it again at proper temperature.

Poured very dark with no head, very oily. Aroma of deep roasted malt. Full body, flavour is dry and bitter chocolate, velvety smooth with the dryness lingering.

330 ml bottle. BB 28/06/16. (Systembolaget) Östersund, Sweden.
Pitch black colour with a small brown head. The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, some ash, oat and mild sweetness. The flavour is very strong. There’s roasted malt, hoppy bitterness, ashy dryness, more dryness and some very much burned maltiness. This is very dry and very dark. And it’s very heavy and rich as advertised. Too heavy to be enjoyable.

0.33l bottle. Pitch black body, creamy light brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, cream and some dark fruits. Coffee, plums, chocolate in the flavor with a decent floral hoppyness in the finish. Alcohol is a bit too obvious, but I like the full body and the really creamy texture. Awesome beer.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt that dominate. Flavour brings out notes of dark chocolate upfront, followed by roasted malt and toasted malt. Very rich and complex, ending on notes of roast and deep dark chocolate. Excellent stuff.
