Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Half-inch light brown head that leaves flame-shaped lacing. Very dark brown colour. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, caramel, wood. Semisweet taste upfront, grows gradually drier, finishes with a fairly astringent bitterness. Well-balanced overall. Medium/full body - the finish is somewhat on the thin side considering the ABV.

33cl bottle via trade with Plovmand, thanks bro! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, coffee, moccha, some light metallic sugar, cane sugar, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, hard roasted malts, great coffee and moccha flavour, bitter hoppy and roasted, sugary texture, moccha bitter finish. Fullbodied. Nice one.

Bottle at home. Almost black with a medium brown head. Heavy chocolate aroma, both the dark roasted and more sweet version, some fruity yeast and lots of other roasted impressions. Bitter roasted and hoppy flavor backed by sweet toffee, the finish is dry ashy and very bitter with warming alchohol.

Pours pitch black. Smell of liquorice. Tastes of bitter chocolate and loads of dry liquorice. Quite bitter. Different from many other norwegian imperial stouts. A great buy for the price!

Beksvart farge med brunlig skumtopp. Rik aroma med innslag av kaffe, karamel og noe ristet malt. Dyp fyldig smak. Moderat søthet. Noe kaffe og ristet malt smak men innslag av vanilje og lett fruktighet. Utrolig godt gjemt alkohol smak.
[Flaske fra Vinmonopolet i Halden]

330 ml bottle. Pitch black. Beige medium-sized fine head that clings to the glass. Soft roasted aromas with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice. Very soft texture. Velvety. Some bitterness, but well hidden. Not sweet either, but rich and very enjoyable. Love the richness. A delicious imperial stout.
