Bottle. Dark amber body, small offwhite head. Christmas spicy aroma with caramel and roast, toasted taste with earthy hops, ginger, caramel and licorice. Light bitterness, dry spiced finish. Quite decent, though I followed the advice on the back on the bottle and left a glass for Santa overnight, he didn’t touch it and after three days I poured it out and don’t believe in santa anymore :/

Pours amber with a finger thick mocha head. Aroma is quite yeasty with lots of herby stuff going on; here’s ginger, clove and Curaçao orange peel. Full body with medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa and notes of coffee, as well as good yeasty notes all along in the back.

Dyp nøttebrun med fin, farvet skum. Aroma av malt, kaffe, fløtekaramell, plomme og rosin. Flott frukt i munnen, lett sødme og fin friskhet med ingefær. Lett bitter, fin fylde og lengde. (Havnabakken, 20.12.13)

Red, golden brown color, light brown head. Ginger and anise nose as stated on the bottle, dried fruit, brown sugar. Spicy taste with notes of cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. Liquorice is present as well. Nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, moderate carbonation.

Fast head retention. I feel that this beer has too little cinnamon. They should have pushed the boundaries a little, or removed it totally.
