COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Editor’s note: First served on tap at 7.7% ABV.

A great IPA from Norway! Nice hoppy aroma and taste of pine citrus and toffee. Great body. Good balance. A great bitter punch in the aftertaste. Left you wanting for more...

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2012 This is one of the best beers I ever tried in my whole life! Got this one from Vinmonopolet (and they dissapeared very fast) Not too much coincidence that is my number 500! Pours a hazy coppper/orange look with a frothy light tanned head. Fruity hops in the aroma that gives notes of peaches, citrus and pine. Some sweet caramel there too. Nicely spiced and strong bitter taste with still notes of malt and herbs. Light sweetness too. Overall, very nice mouthfeel with round flavour. Full body, oily feel, average to soft carbonation and a long lasting nice bitter finish. This from now on is one of my all time favourite beers and evry time I see it I will buy it. Excelent!

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2012 Fikk denne på Oslo ølfestival. Sjokkerende god IPA. Nydelig kobberfargt "tåkete" kropp med en flott skumtopp. Fyldig fruktig aroma. Llitt grapefruktsmak og fyldig humlebitterhet - rugøl er kanon!

330ml bottle. Aroma of caramel malt, and hops. A lot of hops. Seriously. Tastes a bit of peach or similar fruit. Very well balanced malt/hop flavor. Aftertaste a bit stingy from alcohol, but in a pleasant way.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2011 On tap @ Cardinal. Pours reddish with tan head. 100+ IBU and rye - thats right up my alley. Loads of bittering hop and a spicy flavor from both the hops and the rye and a solid enough malt base to back it up . A really god IPA - one of my absolute favorites from Lervig.

Aroma: Smelling mainly sweet fructose citric, grape-fruit, lemon, but also hoppy pine resin nuances. And some cheese.
Appearance: The beer is hazy copper amber, has a bubbly off-white head, leaving much lacing and has good curtains.
Flavor: Starting sweet toffee and rye bread, grape-fruit peel, pine needle tea.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, oily and slick, a big body, a warm dry finish.
Overall: Extremely hoppy but not extremely bitter. A very balanced and good American IPA (on the border of DIPA), not as sweet as most. That is good in my book.
Note: Bottle 330 ml
