2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Systembolag. Pours hazy amber with a big frithy head that sits out thru the session. The aroma is classic american grapefruit piney flavors, but pretty descrete. The taste is bitter and spicy. The citrusy hops and the rye work their combo into a pretty dull bite. I wouldn’t have called it a "brewers reserve", I would have called it a "brewers experiment". Not a favorite.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a small off-white head, which does not last all that well, but leaves a little lacing. Burnt caramel and toffee mix with resin and spice hops to create the aroma. Strong resin and grapefruit hops up front give way to burnt caramel malt in the mid-palate, with grapefruit and spice hops in the finish. A nice, hoppy IPA, with plenty of rye to back it up.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Irreale, Madrid. Appearance: hazy, orange. Aroma: heavy, bready, malty, sweet. Taste: High bitterness, resin, dry fruits, honey. A bit too havy for me, and lacks some sour citrus contra, but this is the idea of rye ipa I guess.

Hazy as a mash. Sweet imperial aroma. Grainy and hoppy. Fruity taste, some strawberries also and florals. Full bodied but smooth and well ballanced. Huge kick of bitterness in aftertaste. Heavy.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lemony, honey malt aroma with very light vinegar. Standard 12 oz longneck. Boring label. Murky peachy tan. Not much head. Kumquat peel and cereal flavor. Unentertaining, not worth the premium. Beer Stop, Tallahassee.
