COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fyldig, rik smak fra ristede karamellmalter, utsøkt britisk humle og rosiner - ingredienser som sammen med vann og gjær også skaper den rødlige gløden og det gyldne skummet. Fyr i peisen, rull ut bjørneskinnet, hell i glasset. La Lervig Winter Ale med sine 8,3 alkoholprosenter varme opp vinterkvelden.

Scopey (6317) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2011
Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours hazy red-brown with a thin off-white head and low carbonation. The nose is brown bread, brown sugar, earth and sweet caramel. The taste is brown sugar, light spice, ginger, clove, earth, caramel and raisin, with sweet caramel finish. Alcohol is well hidden, yet the beer is surprisingly thin. Not bad.

Dark amber color; medium sized compact head. Some malt aroma, with light chocolate and yeast. Medium bodied, the mouthfeel is quite round; caramel flavor, with light chocolate and traces of liquorice; the bitterness is quite high, although unnoticed. Pleasant.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of KnutAlbert. Pours a clear amber with a creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and overripe fruits in the nose - and what appears like British hops. Solid body - very solid - lots of caramel - a little ashy, some licorice and again a twist of overripe fruit. Quite some alcohol in the finish. 100511

berlinoise2go (604) - NORWAY - APR 25, 2011
Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet (Storo), Oslo. Clear, reddish golden colour. Finger-thick light beige head, decent retention, settles as a thin ring. Aroma is fairly closed; needs quite a warming-up to reveal a nice, woody and sweet sherry-like aroma with toffee, dried fruit (raisins) and alcohol. Medium body, soft/average carbonation. Taste is subtle/restrained, but well-balanced with mild acidity and bitterness on a sweet malty base. Aftertaste is relatively dry and woody. OK brew, but had expected a more powerful aroma.
