Bottle shared with esp0r. Hazy deep red with a thin beige head. Aroma of forest fruits, nuts and caramel. Taste is roasty malt with berries and spices, of course the raisins are easy to spot. Good body, great by the fire in the winter

Bottle. It pours a clear, copper to brown body and a finger-thick off-white to light beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is dominated by dried fruits and caramel. Some alcohol too, and a nice hoppyness. Full-bodied and a bit heavily carbonated, slightly warming. Some hints of cooked corn in the flavor, but that disappeares in the split of a second, followed by caramel, dried fruits and a touch of spicyness. Some coffee-like roasted notes in the far back. Lasting finish with caramel and dried fruits. A nice one, picking up the Christmas spirit in a nice way, and of course well suited for a long, cold winter. 110304

Bottle. Sweet malty aroma. Lovely toffee and raisin flavour. Port, almonds. Dry hops discreetly balancing it all. True craftsmanship.

Bottle shared with Daje. Deep red, thin white head. Smells of raisins, nuts, ’fusel’ and honey. Taste is sweet and dry. Much malt flavor. Reminds me of danish pastry with macrone fill. Feel is a bit thick and sweetish. Some bitterness in finish. This is an excelent companion when sitting by the fire-

0.33L bottle from bestillingsutvalget, Vinmonopolet. Two fingers of fully diminishing beige head. Body is brownish red with good clarity. Modest aroma of nutty malts and dusty hops, along with a vague smell of caramel, dark bread and raisins. Lightly sweet, toasted, medium strong malt body. Some dark dried fruits. Sparesly hopped. Notes of higher alcohols. Light astringent mouthfeel. A certain acidulous fruitiness in a short ending. Drinks ok, but a bit unrefined.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours a dark, reddish brown, with a good, full head. Rich, dark fruity aroma, with hints of strawberries, and a touch of alcohol also apparent in the rich, complex taste. Very sweet, with notes of burned/ candi sugar, dark fruits and roasted malt. Body is full and creamy. A lightly astringent, burned finish.

0.33l bottle. Dark nut brown body with a nice fading, off-white head. Aromas are yeasty, caramel and and prunes. Its sweetish, definitely some dark caramel, also a nice alcohol sting that combined with the lively carbonation gives a little kick. Yeah, I like this. Nice and mildly bitter lasting finish.

Bottle. Deep amber body with a small, quickly disappearing off-white head. Nose is caramel, raisins, booze and a bit of bread yeast, which I find kinda strange. Taste is strong notes of caramel, with some tones of burnt sugar, roasted malts, alcohol and hints of raisins. Smooth mouthfeel. Burnt sugar again in the aftertaste, flanked by some boozy notes. Well integrated flavor profile, if not too overtly exciting all in all. A nice winter warmer, and a pretty drinkable - and likable - beer. Best one from Lervig that I’ve had so far.

330 ml bottle. Clear copper body with a fine, creamy beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, brown sugar and dry fruit with just a little hint of alcohol. Flavor of sweet malt, but not as sweet as expected from aroma, in fine balance with the bitterness and alcohol. Also caramel, candy sugar, dry fruit with a bitterness that becomes more obvious in the aftertaste. Long aftertaste with more bitterness and warming alcohol. It a fine beer, not perfect but Lervig is definitively into something here.
