Earthy and bready aroma with loads of fennel and other spices. Roasted nuts and dark malts. Rich caramelly malt flavours. Funky yeast in the background. Very complex beer, and a very good one too.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of chili and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with an acidic edge and notes of chili and roasted malt.

Tap @ CBC 2013. Pours light red black with a large, creamy, beige head. Aroma has chocolate, light pepper, peach. Medium carbonation, nice dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, plums, pepper, good dryness. Nice.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, licorice, some light berries, chocolate and light alcohol. The aftertaste was long. A tasty one.

Draught @ CBC 2013: Black coloured. Brown dense head. Aroma: Roast, marzepan, chcolate, brown sugar and caramel. Flavour: Roasted. Light yeasty and sweet, caramel, spiced, chocolate, grape. Medium to full bodied. Ends roasted bitter and somewhat grapy.
