From bottle in English pint glass. Pours deep, dark blood red with nice head that had large bursting bubbles like a pancake ready to flip. Rich malt taste as I’d expect from a beer I can’t see through!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.33L bottle. Very light caramel, hop aroma. Deep copper color with medium size white foam on top. Looks nice, but taste is weak and light. Vegetable celler, rotten lemon, light toffee flavours. Light bitter finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours dark amber almost red. Good hops but a heavy caramel compared to the bitterness and hop flavor. Quite dry.

Meh. The name suggests a lot of hops. Well, thats not the case. Decent, but does not really deliver.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB 12.10.15, large sample. Clear amber color, big frothy beige head. Aroma of a typical red ale, bit burned malts, slight tea, bit fruity hops. Bit bitter in taste, malty notes, toffee, tea. Decent balance, enough complexity. Easy drinker, good beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper body, creamy head. Different than expected. Less rough but perhaps a bit thinner. Regardless, I get biscuit malts with some tea and a solid amount of English hops. Perhaps some sweet rye bread character. Taste is quite fruity considering the aroma, and again real bitter. Like almost all of the brewer’s beers that I have tried. Tangy ending. Not quite up there with the brewer’s best. But that’s okay - it is still a very well made ale. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Keg at the brewery during the Lervig Tap takeover. 25/04/2015. Hazed brown / amber coloured pour with a creamy foamy off white head. Aroma is nobel hop, spicy lemon, nutty malts. Flavour is composed of cremy nutty malts, spicy tangerine hop. Palate is semi-dry, effervescent high carbonation. Lingering hint of roast / charred bread. Bit of a strange one, but ok.
