Lucky Jack is just about the perfect beer for summer. Grapefruit, tropical fruits and citrus flavours from the Citra and Amarillo hops are apparent in the aroma and taste. But we decided to go one step further and actually make it the perfect summer beer. Beginning this spring (2016), we’re adding grapefruit juice to some of our Lucky Jack tanks. Now you can have all the flavour of Lucky Jack with a twist: a perfect medley of citrus from the addition of grapefruit juice. It’s beautifully refershing on a hot summer day on the deck or at the beach.

Malts: Pilsner and Caramel.
Hops. Perle, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook.

Aroma: grapfruit and citrus.

Food pairings: BBQ chicken and ribs, tortillas and guachamole, fresh fruit salad.Inspirert av iddisen Senior, Stavanger Norway.

Keg at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe. Amber with a thin white head. Pleasant hops on the nose - pine and grapefruit and mango. On tasting overly sweet toffee malt kicks in. The hops and malt together are frankly a bit peculiar. Just about held itself together but yeah, bit of a weird one. Certainly lacks the crispness you’d expect from the style.

Godt øl, men litt for dominerende, bitter humlesmak. Smakfullt, passer både til kos og mat.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden to amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Grassy, herbal hoppy aroma, foliage, tobacco, juniper, weed. Taste is dry, herbal and grassy hoppy, foliage, weed, some lime at most. Revokes the trendy fruity direction in toto.

Bottle. Amber body, medium head. Aroma has citric/piney C-hops. Juicy hoppy taste with tangerines, green tea and some sweet lemon. Medium to thin body. Sweetish fruity finish with adequate hopping. Maybe a touch of flower soap in there too. Nothing exciting but just a very well done APA.
