Bottle from the supermarket in Oslo, another in the beers I thought I’d rated. It poured a copper gold with a minimal off-white head. A pretty standard APA with a citrusy hop nose and a slightly sweet malty body. Good for the price & wide availability plus I like their labels.

Pours a white head with strong aromas (American). Clear amber body. Nice spicy bitter taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle. Pours hazy amber with one finger of light beige head that disappears quickly. Aroma is light with sweet malts, caramel and light citrus. Taste starts with quite plain malts and jumps to a vegetal bitter dry hoppy finish without any noticeable fruity aroma in the middle. Maybe some citrus peel but still on the bitter side. Medium body, slightly watery finish, light to medium carbonation. A bit deluding.

Damonehopen (1) - NORWAY - OCT 21, 2014 does not count
It’s ale and it’s pale. It’s citrusy, but doesn’t kick at all. And since there isn’t too much hoppy character, fact that the maltyness is neither complex, interesting or with a presence, makes the beer kind seem lacking. A drinking beer if you don’t pay attention to drinking, but at a heavy price.

33 cl, bottled. Pours cloudy orange with a nice white head. Aroma: Fruity hops, pine. Malt. Taste: Orange flavours, fruitiness. Grapefruits. Malt. Pine in the end. Palate: Near medium body, a bit stingy carbonation. Pleasant bitter aftertaste. Good.

Aroma: flowers, resin, some grass. Appearance: clear amber, medium, creamy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: hops intensify, getting very bitter in the long finish. Overall: OK APA, but nothing too exciting. Pint at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green.

Typical pale ale, without any fuzz. Plain and simple malt and bitterness. Richer than a lager, but not by much.

Keg at Draft House. Hazy amber, still, small foamy white head. Aroma is sour caramel. Body is medium, low carbonation. Taste is, again, a bit sour with some tangy citrus, toffee malt, astringent resin. OK. My 100th American Pale Ale rating.
