3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"BritIndia" at Les 3 Brasseurs in Lille. Grapefruit aroma. Brown with good beige head. Sweet fruity taste with strong grapefruit notes. Good bitterness comes later, but is lost in the initial fruitiness. Not exactly IPA, maybe some kind of fruit IPA.

(Britindia) Thick cap. Rather sweet for an i.p.a. However, overall interesting beer, but not a typical i.p.a.

16.02.2015. On tap at Les 3 Brasseurs, Toronto, Canada. Unclear hazy orange colour with white head. Aromatic hops gives s very fresh beer. Good bitterness with notes of spruce and lemon. Not much flavours of malt. But its ok balanced with both bitterness and alcohol. Good beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
At the Place Ste-Foy brewpub. Pours a clear copper with a medium foamy slightly off-white (eggshell?) head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of slight pine but really it’s more perfume than anything else. Taste is moderately bitter, never harsh and offers more perfume and soap. Balance is really pointing in bitter direction. Some bubblegum in the finish. Body is light, carbonation medium/medium-high and mouthfeel airy. Bitterness is clean and lingers for a good duration. OK, a run-of-the-mill/average IPA, could use a little body to support itself.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pint at the Sparks Street location. Cloudy deep amber with a modest white head. Nice citrus hops with a nasty phenolic/yeast note, a little pine and resin, faint caramel malt. Medium body and carbonation. The hop flavour overshadows the yeast nastiness, thankfully, some malt support, moderate bitterness and a decently hoppy finish.

On tap at the Toronto brewpub. Pours a cloudy orangey copper with good-sized rocky white head and a little lace. Aroma is grainy with light citric and piney hops. Flavour is grainy and piney with fruit, a little citrus and caramel. Carbonation on the finer side. Ok.
