Bière de Garde brewed with oat.

Note: Bottled version brewed at Brasserie Saint-Germain.

Another gusher. Misty golden body with large head, looks nice actually. Aroma had some a grassy nice hops but overall not too special. More Belgian ale than Bière de garde I feel, as it doesn’t carry the strength nor the yeast development of that style. (33cl bottle brought at the brewery in Orléans)

Bière ambrée, beaucoup de mousse blanche légérement dorée. Nez de malt, de caramel et de miel. Peu d’amertume., goût de malt, de miel et de sirop d’érable. Beaucoup trop sucrée, écoeurante.

Swingtop bottle from the brewpub in Lille
Cloudy amber color; too much carbonation, hence big head, reducing to a smaller creamy layer. Some aroma of malt, apples, vegetables. Soft malt flavor, with high carbonation; there is some spiciness; overall it’s a pleasant spicy Saison, with a touch of vegetables.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a cloudy golden with a huge and frothy shaving foam style white head. Very subdued aroma - a little fruit perhaps. Medium body, a dry fruitiness, a peppery spicy yeastiness and a surprisingly bitter finish. Not bad. 230112

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of coriander, malt, caramel, and hay. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, malt, caramel, alcohol, and straw, leading to a dry yeasty finish.

06/05 0.33 l bottle, courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head. Aroma was pretty interesting, lemony hops are dominating, behind which fruity and honey malt are emerging. Fine flavor, you could actually feel some taste unlike most BdGs. Malty biscuit and honey base is spiced up with cloves, hopped by light pleasant citrus flavors. Medium body with long sweetish vanilla biscuit finish. Fine, though nothing special in particular.
