2013-06-14. Hazy golden orange body modest beige head. 3+ Lightly grassy bitterness up front, moderate caramel malt, biscuity touches, light yeast. 6+ Aroma is lightly fruity and tangy, light yeast and malt. 6+ Average plus body is pretty carbonated. Okay. Probably would have been a point or two higher if I had tried this before the much hoppier American Red. On tap at 3 Brewers, Toronto, as "Spring Fling"
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Metalchopz (1784) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 5, 2013
Enjoyed at the Ottawa brewpub with PaleAleRider. Pours a clean amber colour with a creamy light-beige head and lacing. Beautiful perfumy nose with orange notes and grain eventually comes out. Spices also appear after breathing. Fruity malt taste with hints of bubblegum and very tame hops. Quite refreshing and interesting, different seasonal spring beer, with lots of fruits and perfumes. A lovely brew that makes the winter chills go away, and welcome the sun.

(1er avril 2012)

June 20, 2012 - on draught at 3 Brewers Toronto. Very clear not bubbly slightly amber-tinged gold, small but lasting creamy-fizzy off-white head. Smells ... like a very watered down saison; sweet, sort of spicy, some alcohol. Taste is very bland indeed, like a papery watered-down saison - dull. Average body, low carbonation, slightly grassy/bitter in the quick finish. Bloody dull.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 blankboy (5180) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2012
Draught at the brewpub, Toronto. As "Spring Fling". Pours a clear copper-gold with an average size diminishing frothy white head. O.K. lacing on the glass. Mild, slightly sweet aroma of grain, the always noticeable 3 Brewers yeast and a good amount of fruit. Flavour, also mild, of grain, fruit, very light hops, yeast and a touch of sugary sweetness. Alcohol is well hidden. Average bodied. Nothing bad about this but it is a bit dull, it’s O.K.
