3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mabel (4129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 9, 2011
UPDATED: APR 10, 2011 [3659-20110323] Tap. Burnt brisket charcoal malt grain aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy brown head. More of the same in the flavour, like liquifying the charcoal dust when you have to scrape off a piece of toast. Full body is a little dry. Can only focus on the charcoal aspects, would to see it a bit more balanced. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1+

Draught at the brewpub, Toronto. Pours a very dark brown with ruby hues and an average size diminishing frothy tan head. Roasty aroma along with coffee, a hint of mocha and some light leafy hops.Flavour of roasted malt, some coffee, a hint of chocolate, light leafy hops and a light roasty bitter finish. Average bodied. It’s a bit thin for a Stout but it’s pretty good otherwise.

En fût au restaurant du centropolis - Je ne m’attendais pas à grand chose puisque j’étais au 3 brasseurs. Mais j’ai quand même été agréablement surpris par cette recette. Une belle texture avec une mousse bien dense. Goût de café.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerc (5444) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2011
2011-03-24. Black body with a modest tan head. 3+ Flavour is mild for a stout but the modest amount of roast is enough to be interesting, fairly dry overall, modest bitterness, interesting fruit a light hints of phenols in the finish. 6+ Aroma is similar, modest dry roast, bit of a house yeast character at times. 6+ Average palate is light for my ideal stout but adequate and is pretty smooth. Rounds out a bit as it warms up. Pretty decent, I enjoyed it enough to drink more of it but probably not to order it again. Draft at the brewpub, Toronto
