75cl bottle, shared with friends (2x), dark brown with foamy, lacing and stable white head. Smell: some hoppy notes, caramel, dark fruits. Taste: just great: a perfect balance between the fruity of a dark ale and the powerfull hoppyness of a IPA: caramel, chocolat, yeasty, hoppy. To try on a hot summerday! It was my list bottle, but I’ll buy more of them!

Hand-written label at HopDuvel. Dark toffee-amber colored pour. Huge off-white head. Plenty of lacing as the giant bubbles pop and the head falls. An earthy spiciness in the nose. Malty, hoppy nose. Sweet malt flavor with hints of alcohol, raisins and sugar. Dry finish with a bit of alcohol, but subdued. Very good beer that I will buy again.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, caramel, nuts, malt and hops.

On tap @ Kafé België, Utrecht. Dark brown with a nice big tan head. The perfect marriage, at least to me, between an IPA and Abbey Dubbel. The aroma and bitterness from the hops and the sweetness and caramel from a dubbel. Maybe it was because of the atmosphere (I was there with my son on a perfect father-son day) but this beer is instantly one of my favourites. Will rate (and taste!) again soon.

Nicely done ale, picked up on tap in Reims. Dark brown, full body, smooth and delicious. Clap, clap, clap,.......

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy reddish brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 150912

Tasted it at the gullebierdagen in Nijlen (belgium). I was suprised by the dark (bitter) beer. Nice, gentle hoparoma. unpastorised, unfiltered 8,5% alc vol.

Bottle @ Really late Summer Tasting Ulfborg, 2012. Pours ruby dark amber with a creamy head and lacings. Dark fruit, caramel, vague roast and hops. Full bodied. Dry and bitter finish.

Bottle 750ml. corked.

ABV: 8,5%. Unclear medium to dark brwon colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, moderate to heavy yeasty, dark fruit - honey ! Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, yeasty, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120915]

Bottle. Clear medium to dark brown with a fluffy off white head. Aroma of roasted grain, fruit, and Belgian yeast. Tastes of caramel, chocolate bread, light citrus, and yeast.
