   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 14/20
Ernest (6542) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light to medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (dough), with light notes of gum, pepper, spearmint, and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. A rather understated, but very pleasant, balanced, and clean beer. Perhaps most notable is the well-hidden alcohol...I’d not guess this to be over 6% from the throat burn, which is more surprising considering how modest in body and ethereal in texture this is. It mostly just shows up as belly warmth.

Bottle 75 cl, BBE 2015.pours hazy pale golden in color with a frothy white head. A bit of spicyness, light grassyness. Spicy peppers in taste as well, subtle grassyness too. Easy to drink, but not that much fruityness here. Nice light floral and summer meadow towards finish.

(Keg at Cafe Thembi, Maastricht, 20130603) The beer poured golded and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had honey and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. A quite dry and very clean tripel.

Bottiglia 75cl. Molto chiara, un po' torbida, poca schiuma bianca fine ma nn troppo persistente. Come da nome si fa sentire il luppolo ed anche l'alcol... Decisamente buona, gran corpo, delicata. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iFox

On tap at moeder lambic. Pours a cloudy light dull yellow with a white head. Smell is a blend of crisp hops and caramel malt. Bright, fruity and floral. Taste is honey, floral with caramel sweetness - finishes a little dry crisp. Light/medium body with fine carbonation.
