Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with an average size mostly-lasting white head. Somewhat unpleasant aroma of stinky grain along with some sugary sweetness, fruit and...I don’t know, I don’t like it. Flavour’s better, not great but better, and consists of grain, sweet malt, fruit, light hops and has a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Just O.K. Snoro (183), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 30, 2007 Douce, aucun arrière-goût. Effervescente, reste longtemps en bouche. Aucune mousse. minibus (271), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Dec 9, 2006 Bottle (341ml) Slightly hazy gold with no head at all. Aroma is sweet and malty, some hidden fruit and spices notes and even something that reminds me of a barn. Taste is pretty crisp, malty and grainy with some hops. I wouldn’t describe it as a belgian ale though, but it is a pretty refreshing yet interesting blond ale. HogTownHarry (3200), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Nov 22, 2006 Bottle (341ml). Slightly hazy gold, fluffy white head. Aroma vaguely like a wit - dry, sugary malt, very mild spice and yeast, a hint of lemon tartness. Taste is oddly herbal - the spice and light lemon are overpowered by a slight hop funk, but it has nice sweet malt and yeast character, and the wit-like banana emerges as it opens. Light bodied yet nicely sryupy - soft mouthfeel, not much carbonation, but feels nice on the tongue and has no aftertaste - quite decent!
