1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
341 ml bottle. Very pale, strange mouthfeel, fruity tart taste. It was kind of expensive for what you get, not worth the price unless you have a gluten allergy.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2012 Bouteille 341 ml. 4,7%. Couleur jaune très très pâle...jaune-blanchâtre. Arôme de céréale. En bouche, très légère. Faut vraiment être allergique au gluten.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle LCBO Pours very clear pale yellow with large carbonated bubbles and virtually no head, almost like a soda like Mountain Dew. Very faint fruity aroma, not objectionable. Light bodied with unobtrusive carbonation. Taste is not unpleasant, almost like green apples. By no means a three star beer, but not worthy of the vitriol of some of the accompanying reviews. It is just a little different, that’s all. Oh, and by no means should this be classified as a Golden/Blonde Ale

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear ultra-pale yellow with a very thin, quickly disappearing white cap. Wierd, harsh aroma that I suppose is buckwheat with a very light fruitiness. Flavour is a little more fruity (sort of apple-ish) with a harsh graininess and some metallicness. Somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. I guess if you can’t abide gluten you should just skip beer because this is very bad.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Found single bottles at Zyn. Super pale yellow, almost looks like a mead. Almost smells like a fire mead! Flavour is too thin, sour, stale honey and alluminum. My son (23) says it tastes like hot tub water!

1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2010 Purchased at l’Épicerie des Halles, a long time ago.
The guy told that this one basically smelled like a preservative. I was sure he was exagerating. He wasn’t.
This said, I guess it’s useful for people who cannot stand gluten. There are some macros that are worst than this one. Still, I just can’t get past that aroma.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours out an ugly foamy quick death white cap that sits on a crystal clear borderline pale gold brew. Lots of effervesance, no retension or lacing. I guess I’m smelling buckwheat although I have no idea what that smells like! There is some citrus (closest might be lemon peel) bbhl;ob;lhkhd aaaa i just snorted the beer lol...face hurts...Smells a bit too much NOT like beer, but is not offensive. Taste is sort of wheaty and watery, rice and slight citrus. Mouthfeel is odd. This is where this beer finally got to me. Feels like it isn’t beer at all. Watery and very tart. It did not take long to go flat either. Dry and lenghty sour aftertaste. Thank god for no allergies. This beer serves its purpose but should fail to gain any gluten glutten followers.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
"Not much I can say good about this beer except if your body doesn’t like gluten this won’t kill you because its gluten free. That’s a fun word to say gluten….gluuuuten it just really a fun word to say gluten. Beer is a golden color but so lightly colored actually it’s almost devoid of all color, I can’t explain it this doesn’t look like beer. What the hell I smell a strong peach sent why?!?!? This aroma is insanely sweet and the only thing I can smell is peach. Does removing the gluten from beer make it not taste like beer and more like peach juice. Gllllluuuuten…….. so much fun to say. If I didn’t know this wasn’t a fruit beer I swear I was drinking one. This brew is drinkable but I swear its not beer, I think I’ll stick to gluten beer, this non gluten beer isn’t for me. Gluten………gluuuuuten…………gllllluuuuuuuuten.. so much fun to say."
