Can from Carrefour Calais and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Soft hoppy sweet honey blond aroma. Light in character. Pretty drinkable though. Yep it’s halfway between a premium lager and a biere de garde. I thought fine though. Some sweetish pale malt, some dryness on the finish. ok

Bouteille (@Calais Vins, Calais, France): Clear, deep golden, visible carbonation, loose white head, sweetish-grainy nose; medium bodied, quite soft, sweet flavour; syrupy-malty finish. Tastes like an ugly polish Strong Lager...

Quack-Duck (8065) - Down South, GERMANY - SEP 27, 2012
bottle from Calais Vins. Clear deep golden colour, mid-sized white head. Fruity nose. Medeium-bodied, intensive malty base with a nice sweetness in the background, good dusty hops with a resiny-grassy touch.

imdownthepub (10626) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2010
Bottled, 750ml cork & caged, from Carrefour at Coquelles near Calais. Yellow gold with white head, highly carbonated. Sweetish aroma then a sharp, tinny taste from the over carbonation. Sweet with a slightly perfumed note, some citrus a little difficult to define. Very burpy, somewhat bland.

Bottled at RBESG 2007. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw, brewing cereal, and a light note of metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and brewing cereal.

motelpogo (6963) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 27, 2008
bottled, rbesg07. quite a pale shade of golden with a wispy head, deodorant aroma, some vanilla essence and soggy weet bix flavour, not much to balance the pronounced artificial sweetness

Bottle (750ml). Shared with chris_o, mes_and_sim, harrisoni, reakt and duff - via harrisoni. Murky very light yellow pour with a huge fluffy white head - for some reason this one scared me a little. Very dry, lightly funky aroma, peppery yeast, some dried wildflower hops. The taste was actually pretty decent, lemony, dry, mildly funky with dry floral hop bitterness keeping it in check. Light and sour on the palate, thin and unsatisfying - tastes fairly nice, but I didn’t like the aroma much.

KnutAlbert (6267) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 4, 2007
Bottle, RBESG 07. Rather typical Biere de Garde, soft and round with a sourish edge. Sweet, brewed with added glucose syrup. Not my cup of tea.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2007 Bottled at RBESG ’07. Clear golden. Sweet and buttery with clean mouthfeel and some syrup. Simple ,fruity and lager-like. Low bitterness. Provides nothing that I can enjoy.
