Everything is normal with this beer, appearance, aroma, taste, palate. So, must be an average, but good beer. (Lille 201404)

Large white head, fainting quickly with light cereals aroma. Body is clear and yellow. Taste not bad but too light in hops and bitterness and too basic with remaining barley taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As a pro brewer myself i was very keen to try this and was surprised. It has a very nice one finger head with a medium carbonation. Golden in colour. It has a very nice wheat flavour with some citrus notes. The finishing is that what you would expect given by the esters of the Belgian Yeast. Nice one Aldi!

This is the "abbey beer" version, currently on sale in Aldi Sunderland for £2.49 a bottle. 660 ml bottle served in a 1/2 pint chalice over the course of an evening, so a good head from topping up. Bright golden body, thin white head. Mildly spicy citric aroma. Soft lemon flavour, gentle bitterness, medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Not the most complex Belgian beer, slightly generic to be honest, but a pleasant relaxing bargain at the price.
