COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A hazy, light yellow beer, a head is small and white. Aroma has strong spicyness, flowers, wheat, coriander, citrusfruits, some honey and ginger. Taste is also strongly spicy, citrusfruits, coriander, flowers, some ginger. Quite light bodied, low carbonation. fresh. Weird beer and it’s even hard to decide is this good or not. Bergamot orange is strange for me, but maybe that quite strong and citrusfruity flavour is that. Interesting.

330ml bottle (K Kamppi, Helsinki)
Really floral aroma, quite perfumey. Rich yellow, brief head. Taste even more floral than aroma, almost rose petals. Lightish palate, carbonation quite low. Sweetish, and smooth, but not slick. Light and so floral, actually rather pleasant. Probably an under-rate, this is rather good.

33cl bottle @home. From Citymarket Jumbo, Vantaa. Golden color, thin white head. Citrusy aroma, ginger quite strong. Like mead you make at home. Citrus in flavor as well. Ginger finish. Thin but refreshing.

33 cl bottle @ Baltic Princess cabin, BBE 04/2016. Aroma has some homemade mead; lemon and sweet brown sugar. Also apricot. Flavour has ginger, lemon, some spicy tones and mild malty notes. A feeling of citrus cleaning liquid here. Rather straightforward but at least somewhat refreshing.

0.33 l bottle from local supermarket. Light yellow colour, no head. Aroma reminds ginger. Taste is a little bit watery - no hops or malts. I guess bergamotte makes the whole a bit bland. At least for me.

Bottle 33cl, cloudy copper beer with medium head. Nose is intense on floral, cardamom and medicinal touch (seems to be bergamote but I don’t know its taste). Aroma is on dry ginger and orange notes with still cardamom touch, bit low on the body side, quite bitter, mint like and spicy at the finish, ok.

GoufCustom (1115) - HONG KONG - JAN 23, 2015

330 ml bottle as part of the brewery’s limited edition assorted 8-pack bought at Tecstar’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during The 12th Hong Kong Food Festival.

Translucent straw amber honey colour with thin layer of yeast sediments; Less than one-quarter finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Moderate sticky lacing and near zero carbonation; Aroma of light malt, with very fragrant bergamot, strong floral, strong wheat, sugar, light yeast, lemon and strong grass; Close to light sweet taste of light malt, with strong wheat, light bergamot, flower petals, spices, yeast, light biscuits, light lemon, light bitter hops and low grass; Light body. Thin and crisp palate; Mouth feel is ligt crisp wheat beer infused with bergamot, in which the taste is lighter than those of Earl Grey, but still gives out a quite refreshing feel. Otherwise the Wit itself is very clean, light, cirsp with bits of spicyness and light yeast, and lemony light hops topped it up. Pretty neat… Hoppiness is lemon and strong grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is light in background for a flickering low astringent finish; Quite dry after taste. Crisp and easy to mouth.

Comments: The perfumey and floral-like bergamot is very impressive to the nose, through not as much effect on taste. Overall a clean and safe infused Wit. Pretty good but not quite top yet.
