3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 33cl, cloudy copper beer with medium head. Nose is intense on floral, cardamom and medicinal touch (seems to be bergamote but I don’t know its taste). Aroma is on dry ginger and orange notes with still cardamom touch, bit low on the body side, quite bitter, mint like and spicy at the finish, ok.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle as part of the brewery’s limited edition assorted 8-pack bought at Tecstar’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during The 12th Hong Kong Food Festival.
Translucent straw amber honey colour with thin layer of yeast sediments; Less than one-quarter finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Moderate sticky lacing and near zero carbonation; Aroma of light malt, with very fragrant bergamot, strong floral, strong wheat, sugar, light yeast, lemon and strong grass; Close to light sweet taste of light malt, with strong wheat, light bergamot, flower petals, spices, yeast, light biscuits, light lemon, light bitter hops and low grass;
Light body. Thin and crisp palate; Mouth feel is ligt crisp wheat beer infused with bergamot, in which the taste is lighter than those of Earl Grey, but still gives out a quite refreshing feel. Otherwise the Wit itself is very clean, light, cirsp with bits of spicyness and light yeast, and lemony light hops topped it up. Pretty neat… Hoppiness is lemon and strong grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is light in background for a flickering low astringent finish; Quite dry after taste. Crisp and easy to mouth.
Comments: The perfumey and floral-like bergamot is very impressive to the nose, through not as much effect on taste. Overall a clean and safe infused Wit. Pretty good but not quite top yet.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl, Match Saint-Avold 01/2014. Prominent "Médaille de bronze Paris 2013", marketing highlight in a modest Match market. Pours a pleasant milky gold. The heavy perfumed Aroma is the most striking here: immediate like in an IPA, only soon turning into an air-freshener flowery-herbal bergamot scent, as if in a mothball. Tastes like an inverted Lady Grey Saison: light, dry wit-saison base on top, bergamot perfume beneath. Light beer. Fascinating failed experiment that remains drinkable.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
It pours a off-gold hazy witbeer like color.
It smells like an earl grey tea with lemon, with an acid profile in mouth. Citric, lemon peel, white flower. It is too much.
It is just awful, like a flower extract mixed with a wit beer.
Don’t buy it !
