Clear amber gold, bubbly, light medium head, dissipates quickly. Clean lovely ginger aroma, lime. Clean spicy ginger flavor. Effective warming effect. Very nice. I continue to be surprised by low scores from really nice Canadian beers.

Draught. At Mondial 2009 - day 1. Hazy yellow pour, average lasting white head. Aroma - pungent ginger, very strong, floral bitterness perhaps, but lovely ginger character. The taste is also floral, all I can say is pungent - grabs your tongue, yells "ginger, mofo!!" - maybe some jasmine in there too. Light and lively body, long spicy/floral/ginger linger - a real bite, a real treat - we all kept going back for more, we even brought six-packs to take home to Toronto on the train.

341 ml bottle in a taster 12-pack from Trappe a Fromage, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. JL 04/09.

App.: Slightly hazy golden, so-so white foam. Aroma: Strong, stinging, lemony ginger, a little biscuit malt, lime. Palate: Medium body and effervescence. Flav.: Peppery, lemony ginger, a touch of toast, a little lime, slightly earthy; dry with almost no bitterness.

Interesting, but not in large quantities.

[2233-20090605] Tap. Sweet strong ginger aroma that is powdery and fresh. Hazy, light yellow brown body with a quick foamy white head. Super ginger-soaked beer flavour. Medium body is tangy. Lovely, could pair well with sushi!

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a small head that instantly disappears. Nose is big ginger. Very big ginger. Taste is, again, big ginger. I’m really not into ginger (not in that amount anyway) so no thanks.

A hazed blonde alwe with a thin white head. Pleasant aroma of ginger and citrus grass. In mouth, a very citrusy ale, with citrus grass, wheat. Pleasant. On tap at Mondiale 2009.
