(Bue il y a plusieurs mois, notes retrouvées récemment) - Bouteille 500 ml. Achetée chez Peluso (Montréal). Robe ambrée sombre et opaque. Collet blanc moyen. Dentelle.

Big gusher, pouring took at least 10 attempts and long minutes before I gave up and poured it carelessly, letting the foam espace to the sink. At close to 7$ a pop, proper dosage would be appreciated. Very phenolic on the nose with surprising smokey phenols that would be most pleasant were it not for the accompanying band-aidy medicinal character. Infected and at 7$ a pop, it is fairly annoying. Sad to see how disappointing my most recent experiences with this brewery that I once admired for its unique house character have been. The exageratedly explosive carbonation cuts through the malt that seemed richly honeyed, borderline caramelly and potentially round underneath the bubbles. Green herbal, tea-like gently floral hops amplify the dry-out impression procured by the effervescence. Earthy and annoyingly metallic finish. A ruined contaminated offering.

Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle courtesy of Jay at Clockwork’s Dec 8th, 2012 tasting. Pours a deep, murked-out brown with nice thick lacing. Aroma is light spice, pretty plain. Mouthfeel is meidum with notes of spice, nut, sweet dark fruit - overall pretty oxidized.

Bottle. Pours light brown with a gushing beige head. Light toasted and slightly off malty notes, with floral and spicy hops. Not that bad.

Bottle that I took to a tasting at James’s place. Gusher of a bottle, probably heavily infected. Pours a hazed amber with a monstrous head. Big and infected on the nose, flowery and spicy. Smoky, weird, a bit of burnt something. Rather unpleasant. Didn’t really want to drink this.
