2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Boutip (3467) - Gatineau, - DEC 2, 2011
Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma consists of dry roasted malt with sweet notes and faint raspberry puree. Taste is also a mix between some light dry roasted malt with a sweet backbone and some light raspberry puree. Body is quite full with spritzy carbonation and no apparent alcohol. A bit too sweet for my taste and not enough raspberry flavour.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 rederic (2326) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 6, 2012
On tap at Brouhaha, pitch dark color, with some ruby highlights, and a thin ring of tan head, nice raspberry puréed nose, with some hints of chocolate, roasted, black, toasted malt, and a light roasted coffee bean aroma follows through on a light-bodied plate with an earthy raw raspberry fuitiness, roasted, black, chocolate malt character, with a faint black bitter chocolate, roasted coffee bean, black coffee undertone, within a watery mounthfeel, leading towards a warming, black coffee, raw raspberry puréed, faint lingering roasty bitterness finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 VT (285) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 4, 2011
500ml bottle, poured into a snifter. Pours a deep, dark brown, almost black, with a thin brown head. Smells of coffee and raspberry. Tastes of roasted malt, fieldberries, maybe a bit floral. Subtle raspberry aftertaste, very little bitterness. Has a very thin body and maybe too much carbonation. Was not as good as their other Zeppelin, without raspberry. I was somewhat disappointed, although drinking it with 85% dark chocolate helped the raspberry taste come out and made it way better.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (7003) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 12, 2011
A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, a sweet lactic chocolate with light berry notes, and some chlorine. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate with light acidic berries, a bit peatym grape jam, not bad. On tap at Brouhaha, Nov. 4 2011.

Bouteille 500ml.

(Rating #3816)
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 probstblueribbon (1980) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2011
500 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. Slight gush.
App.: Deep brown-black with a loose tan head.
Aroma: Tart raspberries, other tart fruitiness, a little too much tart maybe?, raspberry/berry-like jam/candy, a little dark-roasted malt character, some chocolate and coffee, a little molasses, surprisingly weak malts given the colour and style.
Palate: Medium body, fairly full, kindly loose effervescence with a few prickly bubbles.
Flav.: Really nice raspberry notes – jam, fresh, a little green, More dark-malt than the nose – coffee, a little chocolate and molasses, a touch of licorice, nicely balanced between big dark flavours and lighter, more friendly fruits; dry with a little tang and a little bitterness, finishes with a nice blend of raspberry and coffee/chocolate malt.
Not too bad. Not really $5.99-worth, but such is life.

Bouteille 500 ml. 9%.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Eructoblaster (2125) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 14, 2011
Bottle - 500ml. Opaque black body with a decent brown frothy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with grainy, roasty, and brown sugar hints. Taste carries strong plummy and roasted cereals notes. It ends with a robust and slightly harsh bitter/roasty finish. Not my favourite.
