Creamy, foamy, fresh hoppy aromas, citrus, pepper and evergreen notes. Velvety caramel smooth mouthful, straight as an arrow… Don’t count on its bitterness to behave; palate invasion is its modus operandi!

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2010 On tap at the brewpub. Taps a nice dark mahogany with a small beige head. The aroma is awesome, very American reminiscent in character, good piney cascade presence with some toffee malt backing it up. Flavour is much the same with some amazing balance. Delicious caramalt flavour with loads of bitter hop backing. Mouth-feel is perfectly prickly yet still slides down way too easily. I could drink boatloads of this stuff. Respectable rendition of an American IPA. If only this kind of IPA could be made readily available in Ontario...

At the brewpub on tap (12 oz), the first of November 2009. Honey red, good head. Resinous and bitter hop aroma, notes of spicy berries. Delicious taste of hops, notes of peaches, good bitterness caressing that is my palate. An IPA of high class!

On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber body with a thin off-white creamy head. Nice, complex malty/hoppy aroma with spruce, grapefruit, and pineapple hints. Sharp hoppy taste that carries fruity and subtle woody notes. Ends with a long, robust bitter finish. Very good IPA.

In short: A tasty and highly drinkable resinous and caramelized IPA.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Partly cloudy dark golden body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is strong and very hoppy with a hop signature that feels resinous, leafy and fruity. Body is full and nourishing but the remains highly sessionnable. Taste has a good rich caramel and a whole lot of bittering hops that are very resinous, slightly citrusy and tiny bit pine-tree. Straightforward and very effective example of the style. Hull Quebec is now another good place to get your North-American hop fix. Isn’t it annoying when people act like USA is not the only country in the world eh?

"Tried on tap at the BDT brewpub/restaurant. Nice deep amber colour with a fine sheet of head. Some lacing. Heavy on the hops, which I like. Citrus aromas and flavours. Has a sweet and peppery aftertaste. Not too bitter, really good mouthfeel. Like this one very much!"

A few samples at the brewpub- A deep copper, pours a frothy eggshell cap. A hoppy nose consists of fresh leafy greens and floral notes. Pine and citrus meet caramel and rye. Tastes ultra hoppy, with good bitterness. Bublegum and caramel, orange and grapefruit, a bit of pine, Very good overall with good lengthy finish. Merci Larry, Merci Dom!

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep golden-orange with a small diminishing creamy white head. Nice aroma, it’s hoppy but also unique, along with lots of leafy hops there’s some sweet fruit, pepper, caramel malt and a hint of alcohol. Delicious flavour: Dry, slightly spicy hops along with some fruit, caramel malt and with a big bitter finish. Average bodied. Very good!

On tap at Brasseurs du Temps. First the color is amber with a thick beige head and lace. The aroma is very hoppy and bitter. The taste is what an I.P.A. should taste like, hops and more hops the bitterness of citrus fruits along with some sweetness.as for the aftertaste it is good and long lasting.
