2009-11-17. Crisp dark yellow with a small off white head and lace. 3+ Modest aroma, spice, vanilla planted in my head by the menu or really there? Touch of florals, pale malt. 6+ Spices become a bit more bitter in the flavour, not to their betterment in my opinion. 6+ Average to light palate. Pleasant but the spice character does not suit my liking today. Perhaps it would another time? On tap at the brewpub

Cloudy yellow. Light spice and a fair bit of sugar on the nose. Quite sweet w only vague accents of malt and really no hop. For a hoppy Belgian this one really didn’t do that.

Draft at brewpub. Canary yellow and cloudy like a witbier. Yeasty aroma but without the fun spiciness of a witbier. Medium body but not all that flavorful, because the yeast overpowers. Not bad tho. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample tray. Yellow liquide. Belgian wheat scent. More complex flavour than anticipated. A bit if pepper in the aftertaste. Amoeba pear in the finish. Some yeastiness and delicate body and belgianness.

Poured a cloudy beige color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of floral hops is dominating with some peppery yeast. Taste is a good mix between some floral hops and a solid malt backbone with good notes of peppery yeast and a dry finish. Body is full with limited filtration and no alcohol was apparent. Very well made with loads of flavour while maintaining a great balance.

Nice refreshing ale. Not outstanding, but a good solid beer nonetheless. Food was great too.

Aroma soft wheat hints with gentle aroma , hinted by yeasty feel. Above citruss with alcohol.
Appearance mild golden hue with white medium top.
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Initial light hop feel. Very smooth ,easy going ale with good crisp hop presence and light tartness behind. Neat brew.

[on tap at brewpub] Star anise aroma with lychee and nondescript herbs. Hazy dark yellow with a lacy, white top. Sweet and spicy lychee flavour with a nice, woody bitterness like some Belgian Ales. Light body, medium carbonation, slightly bitter finish.

Sampled at the brewpub. Nice hazy golden yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is really nice, lots of yeasty esters with some good hop presence. Flavour hits right away with some peach and pear esters, followed by yeasty dryness and an okay bitter hop bite in the finish. Lingering dry aftertaste. Simple, as I would expect from the style, this one is notable for the respectable hop presence. Mouth-feel is dry and astringent from the yeast and hop dryness working together. Still goes down easily. A really good one if you’re into this style.

En fût. 6.5%. Couleur jaune foncée, mousse blanche mince. Arôme d’orange, de miel et d’épice. En bouche, elle est assez pleine, avec des notes complexes de fruits, surtout d’orange et d’épices assez douce. Présence de notes de levures aussi. Bonne
