COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For the hop lover in you, this 100 IBU beer uses Columbus and Amarillo hops which exude explosive aromas of citrus, cherry, oak and rose water. Sweetness mingles with alcohol and hops in a lenghty aftertaste.

Bouteille de 341ml. Arôme de grains et de biscuit. Belle couleur ambrée avec quelques touches orangées. Col absent.

341ml bottle. Hazy orange with a frothy off-white head. Flavors are resinous piney hops, orange, lemon, honey, sweet malts and alcohol with spicy and perfumy notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, sticky texture.

Bottle from Mix pack bought at Halles St-Jean. Aroma: citrus, grapefruits, sugar, App: Clear dark copper with minimal white head and some lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, medium sweetness with medium dry bitter finish. Carbonation is medium. Overall: A great product. Better than what I remember from their old days when it used to be in 750 bottles.

Bravo BDT!

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2014 Hazy dark orange with a tiny lace. Strong floral with light honey, citrus, mainly grapefruit. Bitter at first, became sweet with a balanced aftertaste, a nice mix of tongue perception. Very slick, creamy wih an average carbonation. Good one sip after the other one!

Pours a clear golden with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of alcohol and lightly floral. Not that fragrant just like the rating below mentions. Taste is sweet, way less than your usual IIPA though, and offers some spices and perfume. Body is medium and so is carbonation. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky just like it should. Overall I remember the big bottles being different than this and a little more enjoyable. Not by a large margin, though. Just OK.

I’m a little confused by my experience with this beer, and I’m wondering if it’s because I picked up the 341ml, which is now brewed and distributed by Brasseurs du Nord (Boreale). I was happy because it took a huge chunk out of their price point (which has always been ludicrous, to me), but the beer I tried isn’t as described below, or in the blurb above. The aromas are all there, but they’re very faint, and this beer was bottled the week of the 21st of Oct., 2014. Taste is definitely better; the hops are more apparent, the malt is nice and chewy, the finish is long and lingeringly bitter; this stuff has a great palate. But there’s also a weird metallic taste hiding in the background, which is a bit off-putting. There’s lots of good stuff going on here, but something doesn’t seem quite right...
