For the hop lover in you, this 100 IBU beer uses Columbus and Amarillo hops which exude explosive aromas of citrus, cherry, oak and rose water. Sweetness mingles with alcohol and hops in a lenghty aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a mostly clear dark copper color with a medium white head. A rich caramel and green hop nose. A nice flavor of very sweet hops, candy, light caramel, lingering bitterness. Perfume.

750ml bottle thanks to Craig. The aroma shows signs of alcohol and oxidization. Great hop aromas. The flavor is fantastic, citrusy, floral, resin, caramel. A solid imperial IPA.

750 ml Bottle from marche riendeau A: citrusy, grapefruit, caramel, woody. App: dark copper with no head. T/p: full body with short bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Warmness from the alcohol. Oily texture. O: good. Its suprisingly malty big chewy. Misses aromatic and bitterness.

This is a good IPA, probably one of the best. It’s a strong beer with great aroma.

Yellowy-amber, slightly hazy. Thin head. The aroma is sweet and a bit gluey. Sweet and a little bit crackery. Lots of bitterness but just heavy malts and old, dull hops.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy pale amber. Nice lace. Aroma is strong, and ordinary, certainly has some American hops and sweet caramel malt. Chewy and strong; not sticky but not clean either. The alcohol is not well hidden at all. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bouteille 750ml.

Veiled dark golden to amber pour wearing a healthy white cover. Immediately hoppy, resinous/piney nose with a strong citrus zest character that feels very green. Let it be noted that I’m writing this rating while drinking one of the recently released 750 ml bottles. Having had the beer on draught a few times at the pub before, I’m surprised to find it more aromatic than I remembered while it was probably in a better state at the pub. Nevertheless, the dry-hopping is nicely executed here, albeit accompanied by more than a little maltiness, which in mouth, translated into a good dose of residual sugars. Crystal malts procure caramelly notes that round the body up, a feeling enhanced by the relatively scarce carbonation that would suit a barley wine perfectly. Strongly cerealic all throughout, it moves from sweetness to bitterness smoothly, but linearly and maintains a certain sense of balance doing that, which could be considered unusual for a double IPA, but it just packs a solid dose of everything. Fruity esters do appear in what I believe to be from the yeast AND the malts AND the hops all at once, hinting at red berries rather pleasantly I must say, adding depth to this already potent brew. Knowing the brewer a bit, it makes perfect sense that this is his favourite beer in his lineup. It has generous sticky love handles, but it also packs a mean punch.

750 ml bottle. Pours an opaque orange amber with a resilient white head. Smells of citrus. Taste is sweet biscuit, fruits, wood. Nice bitter punch in the finish, reminiscent of citrus, especially orange. Light to medium-bodied. I was expecting more bitter, but it still felt nice.
