Bouteille de 750ml. Merci Patrick.

Hazy orange pour with a huge beige head. Tart, tangy wheat nose. Pungent hops andsome light fruit. Good carb and good mouthfeel. Light pepperiness, but a bitter finish. A very bitter ia like finish. Some more light fruit and a touch of funk. It was pretty bang on or the style util the crazy bitter finsh. Decent. ( my bottle says 8.5%)

A mild spicy aroma. Light yellow with good lace. Peppery, citrus, and wheat and sweet cardomon, creamy mouthfeel, with bananna characteristics. In the style, but not great representative of the style. Drinkable but not overally drinkable.

My Bottom Line :
Bready yeast and earthy, herbal hops merge in this Strong Saison’s expansive mouthfeel, building a powerhouse of a flavor profile.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slice of foam tops the cloudy pale amber.
-Lightly honeyed cereal flavors add depth.
-Carbonation is obviously intense, which alleviates the impression of heaviness.
-The body is not as dry as I would like it to be (in this style).
-Hop bitterness is also grassy at times; this is far from underhopped...
-Brasseurs du Temps have created another winner. Their bottled lineup is becoming very impressive!

Bottle.

As saisons go, this one is a keeper. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a big frothy white head. Aroma is intense grains and belgian yeast and grass. Taste is great. Awesome mix of belgian yeastyness and grain, a little banana esters and a slow spice that builds.

Cloudy golden pour with a thick, pillowy white head. Aroma of doughy yeast, fruits (pears, apples) and a floral, farmhouse presence. The flavor has doughy yeast, spices, fruits and some farmhouse terroir. The body is medium with a creamy texture and medium carbonation. This is a pretty good saison, good job Dum-Dum!

Pours a hazy, opaque golden-orange with a huge, creamy head that dissipates rapidly into large bubbles. The nose is very fruity and spicy: orange, grapefruit, pineapple, gumdrops, banana, pepper, cloves, pine, and yeast. Mouth feel is medium-thin and well carbonated. Taste-wise, bittersweet citrus & marmalade come in first wrapped in grass, pine and spice, followed by some earthiness and biscuity malts. There is a nice yeasty funkyness throughout. Bitters fairly heavily as it approaches the medium-length finish, leaving grapefruit, burnt toast, and spice. Booziness is quite present in this one. A nice beer, but can’t help but think it would be better if it wasn’t as heavy.

Part of a 750 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Cloudy dirty amber with a so-so off-white froth. Aroma: Quite tangy with some woodsy notes, a bit of funk, tropical fruit esters, wheat and hay, a little yeast, nice biscuit and more esters as it warms, some green herbaceous notes, a touch earthy, fairly nice. Palate: Medium+ body, lively, almost aggressive effervescence. Flav.: Bright fruitiness, lots of esters, bread, dough, yeast, some light funk and herbal notes, more fruit, pretty good; off-dry with decent bitterness (quite a bit for a Belgian), a little tang and a fairly long, bitter herb, fruity, estery finish.

Pretty good, Dum-dum.
