3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 cfrancis (1366) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2011
Pours a orange amber with a delicate white top. Aroma is a hint of spice, pumpkin and malt. Taste is well balanced, and nicely subtle. Spice is muted which is nice for me, malt is there but again just a hint and a pumpkin warmth. Nice seasonal.

Star anise aroma with some eggnog sweet and spiciness. Hazy red-amber with a tawny ring. Slightly smoky anise flavour that imparts a spice bitterness. Relatively dry but with an appropriately subtle bitterness. Light to medium body, moderate to medium carbonation, spicy finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sammy (6131) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 13, 2010
Enjoyed at the BDT brewpub. Orange colour with some lace. Thinnish for a pumpkin, good drinkability, like a soft drink. Some spice, pumpkin in the aroma. Its in the style though not the best representative of it.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Glouglouburp (4784) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 9, 2010
In short: A sweet and typical uber-spicy pumpkin beer
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy amber body topped by a very small beige head
In long: Nose has the typical spiciness that we find in so-called pumpkin ales (most don’t even have any pumkins). Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, etc. Taste is really like a pumpkin pie. The sweet malts have a pie crust type of character and the spices remind us of pumpkin desserts. A bit too sweet for my liking. Mouthfeel was kind of dull, making me wonder if my pint was from the autumn batch (I was about 6 months after Halloween). I am really not found of pumpkin beers to start with and this one was just an average example of the genre. I don’t care for pumpkins, but halloween just wouldn’t be the same if we carved scary faces on chickpeas

Glass, 12-ounce, draught, at the brewery, savoured on September 24 2009; eye: copper, opaque, no effervescence, beige head that falls and turns into a thin sheet; nose: malt, nice hops, "pumpkin pie", lots of spices (including nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger); mouth: lots of pumpkin pie, lots of spices (nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger), good carbonation, pepper, alcohol, malt, finale all in pumpkin pie’s spices, slightly bitter, medium-full body, lightly sticky texture, slick; overall: quite likable
FRANÇAIS
Verre, 12 onces, en fût, bue à la brasserie, savourée le 13 octobre 2009;
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (4454) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a small creamy off-white head. Nice aroma has just the right amount of pumpkin and spices, backed by sweet malt. Flavour of pumpkin and spices, slightly mild, along with sweet malt. Average bodied. Pretty good.
