3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha. Clear golden yellow with a huge white head that quickly settles down to a nice one finger height. Surprisingly light aroma, nice combination of yeast and spice, grass, and alcohol. High carbonation, moderate body, sweet with a hint of bitterness that grows as the beer progresses, actually becomes quite bitter, pepper, coriander and some more yeast. One of the better bottle offerings from BdT.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy straw hue topped with a lofty bright white head. Aroma is grassy and citrusy, with nice yeast and pepper character coming through as well. In the mouth, a sweet malt profile mingles with bready yeast and tingling spice notes. Finishes with a light astringency and boozy aromatics. Forceful yet smooth carbonation makes for an easy drink; alcohol is very well masked. A good example of the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled the first time at the Festibière d’hiver de Gatineau, January 2012. Now, having from their 750ml bottles, picked-up at my local Métro store. Bottling date: 12/01/17#126 written on back label. Huge amount of carbonation composed from tiny bubbles, creating a massive white creamy head that stays a very long time. The brew is cloudy straw golden colour with an amber hue. The nose has lots happening with fruits (citrus, apples, pears, light bananas), Belgian yeast, alcohol and spices (coriander). The alcohol is quite well-hidden in the mouthfeel, with no burning, just a slight nice warmth. The taste is similar to the aromas with some nice bitterness. A very nice Tripel that reminds me of when Unibroue was on top. A good alternative to Fin du Monde.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Appearance: Shiny opaque orange with solid foam. Aroma: Honey, white flowers, peach and alcohol ester. Shy but elegant. Unfortunately, it is a sugar bomb. Some white fruits but damn too sweet. Palate is nice, full bodied and lively carbonation makes this one somewhat drinkable. Overall packed with flavors but way too sweet.

750ml Bottle. Cloudy golden blond with a large creamy white head. Aroma is spicy, hoppy, honey and citrus. Light body with very fizzy carbonation. Taste is sweet, hoppy and a bit honey. Finish brings a soft bitterness and some spice in background. Nice triple.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Glass is half dark amber thick white foam. Moderate aroma of yeast, alcohol and a herb/spice/wild rice note. Flavour seems stronger and more aggressive than expected. After first sip it smooths out but still strong demands your attention. A bit of a rough outdoorsy edge. Strong yeast foundation, peppery finish and some peach-like fruit that keeps emerging.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured an orangey color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of fruity ester and light spicy yeast is interesting. Taste is a nice mix between some Belgian style malt with good notes of fruity ester and some light spicy yeast notes at the end. Body is full for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well done.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A wheaty, sweet and refreshingly fruity Belgian blonde ale. Nice.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy glowing dark yellow body topped by a medium white head with good retention
In long: The highly aromatic nose is a burst of exotic fruits navigating between passion fruits, bananas, lychees and such. Taste has banana purée, lemon muffin, banana bread, exotic fruits, residual sugars, a tiny bit of ginger, timid hops presence, almost no alcohol. Something very wheaty in the muffin/bread flavors I was getting. The beer manages to be both sweet and refreshing. An interesting twist on the style, I liked it. It was a good beer to drink after we spent the day rollerblading on the Ottawa bike path, because drinking good beer is not all there is to life. Too bad though, I wish it was.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drank on tap (12 oz) at the brewpub on July 10, 2011. Blonde golden, small head. Aroma of malted barley and sweet spicy notes of herbs. Taste of dry barley and herbs but tasty, slightly bitter spicy. Very good tripel from BDT, but that’s normal!
