Bottle (500ml). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle. Cloudy reddish-brown (okay, it’s murky), with a huge foamy diminishing tan head - floaties! Sharp aroma of peppery yeast, alcohol and brown sugar. Surprisingly, it tastes like a scotch ale - thick roast chocolate caramel malt, plenty of alcohol, a little burny on the finish. Decent body, sharp mouthfeel, stiicky aftertaste - pretty decent, aroma’s a little weird.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2007 Robe brune légèrement voilée aux reflets blonds surmontée d’une mousse beige épaisse en dentelle qui persiste. Arômes âcres de malt et de levures. Saveurs de sucre, de levures, de malt caramel et de fruits rouges.

Dirty brown ale, like somebody had the runs and forgot to flush, with a light moka head. Light cherry aroma, rather nice and spiced 9uuuh?). Sweet malt and light ground cherries, woody notes, and light coriander and oranges. Not bad....wait a minute, is this a Houblon Bros??? Well, it did look fetid....Bought at Joanette, 3.69$
